The whole point of this discussion is an article, not a news piece. It is an article by an Indian author who is creatively being political while realistically, the US has just acknowledged that Pakistan has genuine concerns vis-a-vis Afghanistan which need to be addressed.

Pakistan internally is a mess. Its a country run by a political mafia led by Sharif. Just yesterday, a businessman whose bank approved loan to PM Abbasi's Air Blue, was nominated for US ambassador. Diplomatic post in Washington is a key position. When you have a politically nominated ambassador, whose only qualification is being a facilitator to the corruption of the PM and the ruling elite, then whom will the ambassador loyalties lie with? Pakistan? Or its rulers?

The Foreign Office, which does have very qualified people, has been sidelined already for NAwaz Sharif, believe it or not, was Pakistan's foreign minister for 3.5 years!! His diplomacy only safeguarded his business interests in London, Qatar and India.

That is why Pakistan has so miserably failed to build its narrative on terrorism. Look at Pakistan and look at its political leadership for a minute. Pakistan is a country that has defeated foreign backed terrorism in the country. No other country has achieved this feat.

If politicians were sincere, this military victory is such a huge political capital that can be spent in building up image and strength of the country in foreign missions. But not Pakistan! Why? The political mafias of PPP and PMLN know power can be obtained through compromise with Washington. Washington has been working on a narrative against Pakistan Military. If you are promoting this narrative, you are in league with Washington and hence closer to power. In this narrative against Pakistan Military, Washington found a more than willing partner in New Delhi. Since our politicians are compromised, they know only appeasing Washington will get them to power seat. Thus you also find that one of the other points to please Washington in addition to slander Pakistan Military is to appease New Delhi. Thus Nawaz Sharif never uttered a word about Yadav or personally supervised to file FIR in Punjab for attack on Pathankot base while India was still investigating.

If this is the mess we are in, then why blame our enemies?
