Now there is this narration and tradition which says something like "If any Muslim who dresses like non Muslims will be raised on the judgement day with those non Muslims". To kya khayal hy Judaism happens to be an older religion.
That means if one adopts garments/symbols associated with non-believer's faith like a tilak, bindya, cross or dresses similar to their religious figures like the Rabbi/Pope/Hindu preist/Buddhist etc.
The basic principle concerning garments is that they are permissible, and the Muslim may wear whatever he wants of things that he has made or that Muslims or others have made for him. This is what the Sahaabah (may Allaah be pleased with them) did in Makkah and elsewhere. Those who became Muslim did not wear special garments that were just for them. The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) wore Syrian garments and Yemeni cloaks, and the people who made them were not Muslims. What matters is that the garment should meet the conditions stipulated by sharee’ah. In the answer to question no. 36891 you will find a summary of the rulings on clothing for men.

The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) forbade us to resemble the kuffaar in general – in clothing and in other ways. The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said: “Whoever imitates a people is one of them.” Narrated by Abu Dawood, 4031; classed as saheeh by al-‘Iraqi in Takhreej Ihya’ ‘Uloom al-Deen (1/342) and by al-Albaani in Irwa’ al-Ghaleel, 5/109.

He also specifically forbade us to resemble them in clothing. It was narrated from ‘Abd-Allaah ibn ‘Amr ibn al-‘Aas (may Allaah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) saw him wearing two garments dyed with safflower and he said to him: “These are the garments of the kuffaar; do not wear them.” Narrated by Muslim, 2077.

Muslim (2069) narrated from ‘Umar that he wrote to the Muslims in Azerbaijan saying: “Beware of luxury and the clothing of the people of shirk.” Narrated by Muslim, 2069.

The garments of the kuffaar which the Muslims are forbidden to wear are those which are worn exclusively by the kuffaar and are not worn by anyone else. As for those which are worn by both kuffaar and Muslims, there is nothing wrong with wearing them and that is not makrooh, because they are not exclusive to the kuffaar.

The scholars of the Standing Committee for Issuing Fatwas were asked about the imitation of the kuffaar that is forbidden. They replied:

What is meant by the imitation of the kuffaar that is forbidden is resembling them in the customs that are exclusive to them, or in the religious beliefs and acts of worship that they have invented, such as imitating them by shaving the beard.

With regard to wearing pants, suits and so on, the basic principle is that all types of clothing are permissible, because this is the matter of customs. Allaah says (interpretation of the meaning):

“Say (O Muhammad): Who has forbidden the adornment with clothes given by Allaah, which He has produced for His slaves, and At-Tayyibaat [all kinds of Halaal (lawful) things] of food?”
Jewish (haredi sect) women do a similar burqah called Frumka
All Abrahamic faiths ordered women to cover themselves up.
Jews are also circumcised, they also don't eat pork and slaughter animal a similar way to us...
Now perhaps you'll say since Jews slit animals throat we shouldn't imitate them.
"Khimar" is the exact Arabic word used in Quran which means a cloak which covers head and extends below. Funnily people who don't speak Arabic themselves will tell you otherwise.

.
Muslims are bound by ALLAH and his RASOOL SAW and no there are not differences. Only thing is some people knowingly what they are doing is Haram want to some how come up with most dumb excuses to justify it.

WOW O Bhai their was no concept of parda or Hijab before Islam it was Islam which brought it. Neither you know history or you know what Islamic orders are. Just want to remain insistent on Haram and doing Haram so now coming up with pathetically hilarious excuses. Don't worry ALLAH has seen people like you often and have dealt with people like you also. You are classic example of that ayat.

Do not quote me again these are subjects beyond your mental station.

since we know you started rummer of Su-35 without first hand evidence, and that is a sin in Islam
thus suggest how you want to be punished ?

So being uncircumcised would mean remaining Non Muslim forever? The similarities are found in practices ordered thru Narrations (a coincidence may be), otherwise Jews (I respect their faith and beliefs) rejected Quran, Messenger and altered Torah (a set of different Divine commandments).

Coming to Quranic orders, they happen to be gradual .... step by step and not straight away to the last resort. For instance lower your gaze is the first step, suppose we live in a society where people follow this strictly, would there be a need for anyone to worry? No one can deny the fact that earlier Muslims took their women to battlefields, the most dangerous place for a woman to be.

But that is not the case, we are not that society, so next is cover your body and parts that are reason for unwanted attraction .... now any sane person would understand how to cover .... but we normally see is covers that bring more attraction. Bosom, bottom, hair, neck ........ if you are wearing a scarf and a loose dreass that has your face uncovered, it won't attract ....... but if you are wearing a skin hugging abaya ........ with your face covered, ask any male about it.

ALL martial races have a history of fighting women.

Especially those whose whole existence was to fight ....

It is better to be on the battlefield with armour and a sword in hand, than wait in the palace for the inevitable.

Cheers, Doc

It's Muslim women under discussion, what we are currently doing and what has happened in the past.

It has nothing to do with other women, what they did or are doing.

I am aware of that.

But like you have done in the past, you were putting the point forward as if it was something unique or special.

Women warriors are as hold as the history of mankind.

To put it bluntly, in war, you either fight or get raped.

So in war you wear clothes that help. Your modesty in at the bottom of the priority list.

I have never made it something unique to Muslim women, you must have misunderstood. My point and focus always remains that how come the earlier Muslims, who had clear understanding and observation of Islam, allow their women such roles and participation.

However, there is one difference between you and us ....... we were on the offensive then and you were on the defensive then ...... attacking and defending, so our women wouldn't have been there for saving their honor only.

Nonsense.

Your women (and their honor) was in our hands for much of your recorded history.

In war, you fight.

The losers get killed and raped.

It's that simple really.

Across history of the world, up to the present day.

That's what soldiers do after battle.

That by the way getting killed and raped didn't happen when we were at offensive, the commoners were waiting for us, and the fearful ones fled.

As I said the comparison is useless, we don't share anything with your circumstances and thoughts. But again losers get to make any excuses they wish .... for face saving. Conquerors hardly care.

Only that's not true.

You've been caring for 1300 years after that quirk of Fate.

As you admit, we still practice the faith of our ancestors.

The eternal flame still burns unextinguished. ON the holy land.

The bloodlines still fight you and keep you in check.

70 million of us. Versus half a billion of you.

We lost the battle. You lost your religion.

Our fight with wasn't religious, it always remained about freedom of humanity, equality and against the oppression. You can name it whatever you want. But you cunningly turned it an attack on Islam, full marks to you for that. We never came to extinguish your eternal flame, if we had we would have made sure you don't escape, if we wanted to make your women war trophies, Arabs today would have half Persian offspring from maternal side. We don't care anymore, lot on our own hands to clean our houses.

No.

We do it, Jews do it.
Doesn't mean that if Jews do it then we must stop doing it just for the sake of it.
I know what you tried to do when you brought in Jewish burkas.
But that is not the case, we are not that society, so next is cover your body and parts that are reason for unwanted attraction .... now any sane person would understand how to cover .... but we normally see is covers that bring more attraction. I don"t tell anyone to wear scarf over skin tight jeans.
Neither do I tell any one to wear skin tight abayas.
Covering the entire body including head with modesty is what Islam ordered women to do. It has been that way throughout Islamic history. Word khimar has been used in Quran and it literally translates to a cloak covering head and extending downwards.
I don't know how skin tight abayas happen to be modest, just because there is abaya in the name doesn't mean it will work when it's skintight.

And I don't need to ask any male about it since I am not a khusra myself. I never implied in my post to wear abaya just because of it's name. It has a purpose to fulfill.
Coming to Quranic orders, they happen to be gradual .... step by step and not straight away to the last resort. For instance lower your gaze is the first step, suppose we live in a society where people follow this strictly, would there be a need for anyone to worry?
We live in a real world not a utopia where everyone will lower his gaze and there will be no murder, sin, adultery and drugs.
That is where the concept of crimes and punishment in Islam comes from. Human beings will always be fallible.

And Islam is not based on your feelz. Allah ordered us certain things whether we like them or not. Twisting and manipulating ayats in Quran just because one finds them difficult to accept is the first step towards becoming what the Christians of Europe have become.
No one can deny the fact that earlier Muslims took their women to battlefields, the most dangerous place for a woman to be.
So?
Can one deny the fact that they used to cover up their bodies including their heads?
And women went to battlefields to serve a purpose. Mostly it was tending to the wounded or providing water. Not actual combat, unless there was no other choice.
That tradition continued till the first world war.

I agree. We should let this thread about cute innocent kids continue being one on theological propriety through the eyes of 7 th century tribal Arabia.

A parting shot.

You were recently commenting on how Hindu faith keeps changing course and lost its original tenets and roots.

I do not disagree.

The difference is Hinduism was changed internally by Hindus.

Islam was flipped by the enemy.

And most of you still don't get it.

You do. Always did. And that's why we became friends and had our discussions.

Because it's rare to see a Muslim who sees the truth the way it happened.

Cheers, Doc

I know what you tried to do when you brought in Jewish burkas.

And what did I try to do? Attack the faith of gullible weak Muslims right?

You hate the Jewish from the core of heart and still when it suits you, you want to find common grounds between them and us.

Come on I mean. You are not kindergarten kids here that I would try to brainwash, I have differing views and I am entitled to them, unlike most I don't want to accept everything being fed to me in the guise of Islam.

We live in a real world not a utopia where everyone will lower his gaze and there will be no murder, sin, adultery and drugs.

I am not twisting any aya, heck I haven't even posted any ayat here on this thread. You want your women to fully cover from head to toe, good, but when you are out in the open I expect you to lower your gaze as I will ....... because I believe in Utopia Quran has promised.

So?
Can one deny the fact that they used to cover up their bodies including their heads?
And women went to battlefields to serve a purpose. Mostly it was tending to the wounded or providing water. Not actual combat, unless there was no other choice.

Have I objected to covering your heads part? What I am here saying is lower your gaze first, then stop wearing these stupid skin hugging abaya and burqa, they don't serve any purpose even if you have everything covered. The purpose of being modest is to not attract unwanted attraction ...... but these days it's the opposite.

And you can believe that earlier Muslim women were there tending to injured only ......... I don't believe that to be the only role, Messenger Peace be upon him married a business woman as his first wife, when his mother Amina bibi died they were travelling alone, son and mother.
