Iranian Safavids and Mughals were hostile to each other and fought many bloody war over the control of Kandahar. Kandahar mostly rotating around these two powers.

Being older doesn't mean he would be respected. Specially not if he's gonna use silly and cheap tactics such as separating Hindu-stani and spreading lies.
