Afghans call to boycott trade with Pakistan for sheltering terror

This will only hurt the common Afghan people.....

These pathetic two bit so called Afghan nationalists were the same filth that ran to the Soviets for help and what did the Russians do? They just came in and slaughtered them and took the country hostage.

The common people would be mad to follow such loons.

The most important thing is to create peace in Afghanistan so that the refugees can go back to their country. Let the Afghans sort out their leaders and deal with them. We have to deal with our idiot leader Nawaz Sharif who is visiting the world's most important country called Belarus instead of visiting the Central Asian and the Middle Eastern countries with whom we need more friendly relations.

I am not sure if you are aware of a time when the major Afghan fractions signed an agreement and took oath in Kaaba, bait ullah, to honor it. Soon after they reached back to their strongholds in Afghanistan, the fighting resumed and the agreement signed in Kaaba got evaporated into the thin air. There you go. Peace in Afghanistan... anybody who has read past 500 years of region's history knows how false is this statement to begin with.

I agree. There are two issues though. First the ANA is simply too weak to take on the Taliban natonwide. They have made some good inroads but need time to develop. The second thing is that there are way too many chiefs and too few Indians. Afghanistan's major quagmire has been that every village idiot wants power.

We cannot expel Afghan refugees into the war zone. We can give them citizenship, take weapons from them and help them settle down in Pakistan. Equip security forces to deal with the drugs and weapons problems. Pakistanis are also involved in these crimes and blaming only the Afghans is easy.

We have to help Afghanistan instead of getting blamed for every terrorist act in that country by the Northern Alliance supporters.

Are you high on Afghan opium?

Many refugees have lived here since the 1980s, many were born and grew up in Pakistan and to them Afghanistan is a foreign country. Pakistan already has more Pakhtuns than Afghanistan and the prosperous and successful Pakhtuns in Pakistan will legitmize us.

Pakistan does not ‘cooperate in anti-terrorism activities’, claims Abdullah Abdullah

ISLAMABAD: A day after President Ashraf Ghani claimed the organisers of terrorist attacks and terrorist centres still exist in Pakistan, Afghanistan’s Chief Executive Dr Abdullah Abdullah has claimed Pakistan does not cooperate in anti-terrorism campaign with Kabul.

“In regards to Pakistan… in spite of our people’s scepticism, we took bold steps to improve relations, but unfortunately, Pakistan did not cooperate in anti-terrorism activities over the past 10 months as we expected,” Dr Abdullah said at a council meeting of ministers on Tuesday.

“They (Pakistan) issued good statements, but those who commit crimes against our people are financed and armed there,” Abdullah’s office quoted him as saying. “They kept Mullah Omar’s death a secret for two years, and then openly held new leadership meetings in order to restore their identity under the leadership of a new criminal, to gain legitimacy and continue their carnage.”

Despite the allegations, Pakistan had assured on Tuesday it considered Afghanistan’s enemies its own, extending full cooperation to the country in combating terrorism.

“Terrorism is our common enemy and requires cooperative approach to combat this menace,” Foreign Office spokesperson Qazi Khalilullah said.

“We were told Afghanistan’s enemy is Pakistan’s enemy. What kind of enemy of Pakistan is this? They kill people here and move around freely there?,” Dr Abdullah questioned in the statement, which was emailed to The Express Tribune, and its excerpts were also released to local media.

Referring to the recent wave of attacks in Kabul and parts of Afghanistan, which killed nearly 70 people over the past few days, the Afghan leader said, “We know who is behind these atrocities, those who plan such attacks are outside the country. Those who take responsibility for these crimes are in Pakistan.”

He admitted the Taliban emerged stronger over the past 10 months as no action had been taken against them.

“Not only has no change been detected in the military machinery of the Taliban over the last 10 months, but it has in fact become stronger… because they don’t feel any pressure, and they are armed and financed, and resort to unfettered mobility.”

As terrorists take responsibility after broad daylight attacks on Afghan soil, no limitations have been imposed on their activities and they continue their shameless attacks, Dr Abdullah said, calling for a review of peace talks with the Taliban following the attacks in Kabul.

Earlier on Sunday, Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif appreciated the Ghani administration’s approach towards Pakistan during the recent terrorist attacks in Afghanistan.

Ghani had telephoned Nawaz to discuss possible resumption of peace talks between Kabul and the Taliban.

Nawaz had also expressed sorrow over recent blasts in Afghanistan, and conveyed his condolences over the loss of lives.

Whatever man. We didn't take the Afghans in so that they would live here forever. These are all war refugees. Afghanistan is their native land. It's time for Afghans to return to their native land. We don't want them here any more. Especially the ones that badmouth our land and our people. For the record, I'm a Pakistani Pakhtun and I don't appreciate hateful anti-Pakistan Afghans living in our land.

Pakistan belongs to Pakistanis. Let me see how many Pakistanis Afghans would welcome in their land... Let me see how many Pakistanis Afghans would allow to settle in their land. Talk is cheap.

We're done with Afghanistan, Abdullah Abdullah, Ghani, Karzai and the rest... We're also done with sher aaya sher aaya... Nawaz Sharif and his feeble policy to please India/Afghanistan won't work. It is going to backfire and we're already seeing that it is backfiring miserably.

Close the border and expel every last Afghan inside Pakistan.

Pakistan should look after its own problems which we have plenty of. Afghanistan needs to learn to stand on its own feet and fix its own problems instead of blaming Pakistan. The problem with tribal Afghans is that they haven't learnt to take responsibility and ownership of their own problems. All they have done is to fight against each other and blame the rest for their own failures. Enough is enough.

We have to accept the fact the Talibans were supported, trained and equioped by Pakistan. The Afghan factions are guilty of being too divided and wanting to fight the other instead of reaching an agreement that all accept and implement. Northern Alliance that controls the government in Kabul cannot reach peace with the Talibans and blames Pakistan.

The Taliban were supported not only by Pakistan, but also by the US and the West. Get your facts right. The Taliban and other militant groups are remnants of the Cold War.

Let the US/West also take in Afghans. Pakistan isn't the only country in the universe which is responsible for the "misery" of Afghans. Pakistan has helped enough. In fact, more than enough.

No, we won't allow Afghans on our soil any more.
These miserable backstabbing savages aren't welcome on our beloved soil. The very same soil that they scold and hold responsible for all of their miserable problems. Anyone seeking to help Afghans should take them to India or the US. After all, these two countries proclaim to be their saviours. Remember, Pakistan is the enemy...

Afghans are a failed tribal society and their fate is never going to change. The Afghan soil has been cursed. They are going to keep fighting among themselves and nothing is going to change that fact.

Afghan Mujahideen fighting the Soviets were supported by the US. After the Soviet withdrawal from Afghanistan and collapse of the Soviet Union, US lost interest. The Talibans came much later on and were supported by Pakistan.

Many Taliban fighters were part of the Afghan Mujahideen who fought against the Russians during the Cold War. Don't lecture me about history. The Taliban, NA and all other fragmented groups have fought against the Russians. Heck, even OBL and Mullah Omar fought against the Russians... Get your facts right.

This argument is very outdated and factually incorrect. It is time for Afghans to pack their bags and leave to their own land.

If any one can help Afganistan, it is the Afgan people themselves...As long as there is a sense of nationalism is not developed and Afganistan people are not united as a sense of nation...Outsiders will exploit for their own benifit...Sometimes this exploitation or favor whatever you name it, can work on favor of Afganistan and sometimes it is not..

Honestly, being a landlocked nation, Afganistan does not have much choice to boycott Pakistan...In the age of regional integration, boycotting a neighour is a silly idea...Rather, Afganistan should think why they do not see each other as Afganistan as a first criteria and then tribes or other identities as secondary..That is a sad state of affairs...

And coming to Pakistan, it is for sure that NS Gov is really a good Gov for all the neighors...NS is trying at its best to imprve relation with Afgainstan and even India with so many setbacks...But in spite of that there may be enough distruptive elements within ISI who are still with mindset of 1990 where they feel Afganistan is there playground...So although i really doubt NS or even the Pak Army chief may be interested to have peace with Afganistan, but they are not in a situation to control the rogue elements withing ISI who are sabotaging the initiative to normalize relation between Paksitan and Afganistan...

So it is time for Pakistan, to identify and forsee, why these rouge elements are still having backing of your intellegence elements although new Afganistan Gov is friendly to you and trying to soothe relationship between both nations.
