Contrary to what some members think -- it is important to hear what Amrullah Salleh has to say since he represents the thinking and opinions of a large section of the Afghan population.

Interview here, excerpts below:

Pakistan has always supported the Taliban. It has also always been involved in destabilizing Afghanistan. Why do you think Pakistan wants an unstable Afghanistan? What is it about an unstable Afghanistan that benefits Pakistan?

Pakistan is a politically insecure, psychologically nervous, and strategically narrow-minded state. It wants parity with India. In the belief of the Pakistani strategists, subordination of Afghanistan to the wishes and demands of Pakistan will give them a depth in the region and will in some way put pressure on India. They also hate seeing Afghanistan have a democratic system. Pakistan sees democracy as an existential threat. A real, robust democracy will transform Pakistan into a cultural and economic satellite state of India. Something that the Pakistani leaders want to avoid at any cost. While on the surface Pakistan seems to have a democracy, it is an army-run country. Democracy in its truest sense does not exist in Pakistan. On critical foreign policy issues — issues that have the potential to change the national fate of Pakistan — it’s not the country’s parliament that has decision making powers, but its army’s.

So, in conclusion I would say, that our Military is in control of our Parliament that's why we want to destabilize Afghanistan.

Pakistan is a politically insecure, psychologically nervous, and strategically narrow-minded state.

So, we are the ones who welcomed Russia to invade Afghanistan, because we are Psychologically nervous and strategically narrow-minded state, wow I am now literary confident that he has got his training from RAW and MOSSAD.

Does he even listens to himself what he is saying? I mean Afghani's must be desperate back in 2002 that they had appointed him as an Intelligence chief, oh I forgot that was the invasion back then.

You know I never really thought about that -- but yes the questions does pose itself: Amrullah Saleh, was the best that Afghanistan could muster?

I literary have no Idea bro that why couldn't they find anyone else, a more competent and more sensible dude. But, their are reports that he was trained by CIA and that he spent 7 months in Israel, and while he was in service he spent 3 weeks in India, he was seen some of the journalists from Pakistan. Now, I do not know what he did in Israel but I am quite sure that he wasn't their to find out that what really humus is.

Yes, he was trained by the "Americans" as he likes to say.

On him spending 7 months in Israel -- any references on that -- I'd be very interested to find out.

Why Israel would invest in such a nincompoop is beyond me -- it could have been anti-millitant training -- Israel is very good at that.

Amrullah Saleh is a Moron who can't let go of his " Hate spewing " Mentality. These Tajiks have no shame as there are hundreds of thousands of these ingrates in Pakistan who won't return to Afghanistan and yet their main occupation in life in is " Bad Mouthing " Pakistan.

Who cares what this Moron says.....

Yes, indeed it is right of you to post this. It is the smart thing to listen to what your detractors are saying. You guy's have failed to understand what he is saying. You should never underestimate your enemy. This Tajik belonging to Norther Alliance is smart as they come.

What he is saying is that Pakistan does not have a identity. That it's existance is in the shadow of India. That it must oppose India because not having a identity means if it made peace with India it would just coalesce back into India. That it is just estranged Indian who if peace is made will just fall in line. In other words it would just be a province of India. Is this true? Maybe or maybe not.

Do we have our identity? Do we have our language? Do we have our own history? Do we have separate clearly defined profile across the world?

Yesterday I drove past mile of shops in a neighbourhood in UK. These are the shops I saw. Asian Cloth House, Dhesi Sweet Centre, Apna Money exchange, Islamic Relief, Muslim Finance, Indian Restaurent, Kurdistan Restaurent, Slovakian Grocery, South Asian Fruits & Veg.

From this what would you conclude is the primary community in that neighbourhood? Kurdish? Slovakian? Indian? No, you would be wrong. It is 94% Pakistani, 2% Kurds, 2% Slovakian, zero Indian.

Now what does that tell you? Insecurity? Lack of depth? Psychological issues around knowing who and what it is? Please do some introspection.

Ps. The Kurds don't even have a country called Kurdistan. Slovakia is smaller than Sindh. Yet they have no issues about announcing who they are. They don't use adjectives to avoid using the name of their country.

Tajiks and Ozbeks vs Pashtuns? Why does no one talk about this huge issue in Afghanistan?

@Atanz

Amrullah Saleh is a politician and like every politician he needs to find a niche in the society on which he can capatalise.
His perceived hartred towards Pakistan will change to love when the situation demands, so my Pakistani friends should stop taking him like a monster who breaths fire against Pakistan for eternity :)

Furthermore you do have an interesting take on the Identity of Pakistan.

Yes, he was trained by the "Americans" as he likes to say.

Him getting training from Americans is a hidden story, he normally avoids it, because than he will have to explain a lot to the Afghani public who are somehow against US and her allays.

On him spending 7 months in Israel -- any references on that -- I'd be very interested to find out.

Its hard my friend to provide reference for everything. But believe me bro he will confess one day that he did indeed visited Israel, when was it? I am not confident if he ever will expose that.

Why Israel would invest in such a nincompoop is beyond me -- it could have been anti-militant training -- Israel is very good at that.

Bro, these agencies will invest in every intity who seems capable to damage their foes. A good example is cha cha g from Pakistan, they now call him an activist, who cant even speak sh*it., yet he is the favorite guy in India as he is one of the separatist.

This Penga (cockeyed) swine needs to be ignored, he has no constituency in Afghanistan, sorry Indians the Panjsheris have other leaders and pashtuns dont hold him with much regard and he lacks the experience or training to be a competent spook chief SO WHY give the troll any attention as he is not in the position to influence events on the ground, he is a nobody whose mouth is an A-HOLE and his comments are nasty Flatulence.

Tajiks and Ozbeks vs Pashtuns? Why does no one talk about this huge issue in Afghanistan?
Pakistan has put money on wrong people as if Pakistan had supported Uzbek and Tajiks then their was a chance of getting this Durand Line issue dealt with by now as Tajik and Uzbek harbor insecurity of having Pashtun Absolute Majority in case of KPK joining Afghanistan because after that Afghanistan would be Pashtun Nation in Absolute sense and Tajiks, Uzbeks, Hazara and other communities would be heavily Marginalized so it was our historic mistake to support Pashtun too much as Tajik and Uzbeks should have also been taken on board by Pakistan alongside Pashtun to build a Confederation in Afghanistan rather then giving everything in the hands of Pashtuns in Afghanistan who would later come back claiming Pakistani territory when they got things stabilize in Afghanistan.
