Afghanistan vs Pakistan | World Cup 2019 | Leeds | 29 June | Match Discussion

Cricket is strange. When Haris Sohail got out, I went to sleep thinking Pak lost the match. And now I woke up and seeing the results Pak won by 3 wickets.
Next match, you sleep again
And me will take side of opposite team

fakhar has got no technique. he is a true railo katta. i wish sharjeel wouldnt have indulged into fixing thing. he was better then fakhar. imam is parchi so nothing can be done about him. he is a part of the team in all the formats as long as aloo is the chief selector. the oldies like malik and hafeez shouldnt be part of the team at all. they are good for nothing. keeper who can bat as well is urgently needed. i was thinking it could be the last match for parchi, hafeez, sarfaraz, inzi and mickey but they survived for another humiliation.
Changing order will hurt the psychology and winning streak
___
Hafeez have some broken thumb.....said by shoaib Akhter
But in big view.....good Fielde bowler....he have place in a team.......but shuffle should be avoided.....at that time
____
Imam is suspicious now.....but let him play
Fakhar will explode in semi/Final = it feels like to me

. .
imam is a parchi . he is an average test player at best. has no place in T20 and ODIs. fakhar is in the team as we dont have any suitable replacement. sharjeel is missed here but he spoiled his career.

I am not against any player. I don't have any personal grudges against any player. If they perform they deserve praise. Losing is also part of the package.

Imam hasn't performed. His contribution is miserly.

That said, China gave Pakistan firearms, didin't build their Cricket.
BCCI has done a bit to assist Afghan Cricket team, Given the amount of money, BCCI makes I hope it uses it's resources to develop teams like Nepal, Myanmar, Thailand, and other developing cricketing affiliates. England should do the same with Ireland/Scotland, and Aussies with papua ng, Singapore, etc.

With Indian franchises investing Carribean leagues, I hope there is more cross involvement in other leagues too.
China helped with the olympics and what they are good it.

Even leaving Cricket aside, China's assistance to Pakistan has been celebrated by Pakistanis. If India was able to do a tenth of what China did for Pakistan, wouldn't it result in positive results for Afghans?

Sure. But as I said, the ultimate purpose hasn’t been to just help Afghans out of altruism.

Foreign policy as a whole is to secure your own interests. If anything India even today much like Israel in the 70/80's suffers from putting all it's eggs in one basket. (Watch the Mossad documentary on Netflix when you get a chance)

@Oscar Janab what does this say about our competency? Is not Afghanistan in our backyard, literally? Has India outmanoeuvred us and managed to firmly consolidate Afghanistan as one of her staunch supporter and allies from right under our noses?

Afghanistan was the first country to oppose the formation of Pakistan- India did not do much other than ally itself with another enemy of Pakistan.

Afghanistan has never been our backyard, its a collection of one rabidly anti-Pakistan urban area in Kabul and the rest a 10th century trash heap.

True that. There's only one solution here I think, a massive iron-curtain between them and us.

Been meaning to do that - teetering between cancelling Netflix versus Hulu.

India’s basket will eventually include Pakistan - and vice versa. Regional implications due to changing climate and population dynamics in the next 50 years will make both nations pay a dear price for the past 70 years of hostility.

More or less Indians are good investors, leaving aside all the covert cloak and dagger speculations if you focus on what India does in Afganistan which is visible to everyone (Which is mocked quite a bit here on pdf) are building roads, hospitals, schools, colleges, the Afghan Parliament, Stadiums, Television networks. This helps in building goodwill, this goodwill has a snowball effect.
