I am not too familiar with Indian politics. Politics is a lot like sleeping. You sleep on the right and then sleep on the left. Pakistanis see things from Pakistani perspective and Afghans see see things from Afghan perspective
That's like saying water is wet -- it does not add anything to the conversation
hence what you regard as dangerous for Pakistan is not necessarily dangerous for Afghanistan. It is all a matter of perspective.
I'm sorry to be harsh but this is certainly in the class of stupid: In politics what the perceptions of the other player are extremely important (basic Game-theory?) -- actually they are a paramount consideration in any serious treatment of the subject.
I am sure Pakistanis would love to have a Pakistani version of Modi rule Pakistan .
What horror !!! -- I'm no longer a Pakistani Citizen so I can not rightly comment -- but I suspect there is a sizable minority that does not want a Modi led Pakistan -- (surprisingly) no religious party has been able to secure a mandate in Pakistan (unless you count the PML as a right wing equivalent to the BJP -- that charge has some merit)
Yes in the sense that Afghans have suffered from constant war for the last 40 years and they as fellow human beings want things to get better for Afghans. Besides some see Afghans as their long lost brothers who have gone astray and need to be reintroduced to their Indian/Hindu roots.
Seriously? Maybe the Gujrat, Delhi, Bombay riots were also to help their fellow human beings discover their pre-Islamic roots -- sorry for the harsh words but how naive can you be?
Reading the posts here one would think Pakistan and China "friendship" has been eternal. I guess it is to piss off Indians, same way Afghans like to piss off Pakistanis by being buddy buddy with Indians, lol
using one stupidity to justify another stupidity is seldom sanguine reasoning
Interestingly Ahmad Shah Abdali made preparations to attack Qing dynasty and help the Uyghurs and Turks of central Asia but the plan was ruined by internal quarrels.
China wasn't ruled by muslims for 1000 years, maybe things would be different if they had been. Two can't be compared.
But that was precisely my point -- India/China aren to comparable vis-a-vis their relationship to the Muslim world -- I didn't compare India to China -- you did -- your point was?
That's Pakistani delusion of grandeur who think they are heirs to the Mughals and other muslim rulers of subcontinent.
False, it is simply a matter of numbers and physics-- not recognizing that is delusional.
But I think your post is very helpful -- it shows the divergence of the thinking of Pakistani and Afghan (including heritage-ed) elites of the two countries.
And it means that the cauldron will boil for a long time to come.
