I think Pakistan should seriously think about backing Talibans or Northern Alliance. NA can prove to be a more reliable partner in Afghanistan. Karzai has been a nightmare.

No, I think Pakistan should stay away from all the parties and try to facilitate peace talks like it has been. Backing the Taliban or the NA, even the Government will only be trouble for Pakistan in the long run. Whether or not the peace talks succeed or fail, the ANA is going to attack Pakistan, once that happens, Pakistan will finally be able to "insist" that Afghanistan commit to the Durand line. Unlike the Americans, Pakistan isn't going anywhere.
