ISLAMABAD: Interior Minister Ch Nisar Ali Khan said on Tuesday that Pakistan border management was making sincere efforts to prevent infiltration from both sides of the border with Afghanistan but the very efforts had been sabotaged lately.

He said it was evident that Afghanistan was playing into the hands of some other country.In a statement, the interior minister said that Major Jawad and other personnel had been martyred due to unprovoked firing from the Afghan side, which was intolerable and unjustified.

The minister also said that now Afghanistan had to decide whether it would recognise Pakistan’s efforts for regional stability or play into someone’s hands. He said that Kabul was mocking the sincere efforts of Pakistan for border management.
