Afghanistan new Vietnam: Iran speaker

Mr. Thomas, please enlighten me as to why is it not possible? You're economy isn't too wonderous at the moment, You've been hit by natural disasters, U are engaged in a protracted war that in indecisive and in conclusive, Your ***** a** president is desperate to have negociations with the enemy...

Oh well, forget what Im saying, just counter my arguements with rationale instead of using lame statements of me not having any idea, DONT DIE OF LAUGHTER YET!!:chilli:

Check your facts! Most of NATO and ISAF casualities are in COMBAT ZONE, not in civilian places. Taliban fighters are not merging with civillians while fighting, but it is the NATO forces that are doing COLLATAREL DAMAGES, the sh*t they call, while bombarding the civillian targets ruthlessly.

Don't flatter yourself...if the US went after targets without worrying about civilians..there would be absolutely no one standing upright in south Afghanistan.

The U.S. has been in worse economic times in it's history. The great depression was far worse. And took more then a decade to recover from. If it hadn't been for WWII it would have took longer.

As far as natural disasters there have been just as many throughout the birth of the U.S. The difference now is how they are reported and sensationalized.

In Afghanistan the jury is still out. As I stated before no matter what the U.S. will not be leaving Afghanistan until stability is brought. even if it takes many more years. Obama may like to set a deadline to appease his political left just like he did on closing Gitmo (Gitmo is still open). The political reality however is even if some allies leave like they did in Iraq the U.S. will not.

The majority of the American people would like the troops to come home. But they do not support bringing them home before bringing more stability to Afghanistan.
