Afghanistan must act against terrorists, says Aizaz Chaudhry
Last Updated On 24 July,2014
Pakistan has called upon Israel for the ceasefire, the Secretary of Foreign Affairs said.

ISLAMABAD (Web Desk) - Secretary Foreign Affairs Aizaz Ahmed Chaudhry on Thursday said that Pakistan wants to maintain friendly ties with Afghanistan, Dunya News reported.

Talking to media in Islamabad, Aizaz Chaudhry said that Pakistan launched operation against militants in North Waziristan Agency and Afghanistan must not allow terrorists to use its soil against Pakistan.

The remarks came a day after the Afghan intelligence service accused Pakistan of stoking instability in the country by backing militants who stage attacks in Afghanistan.

Pakistan has denied such accusations in the past.

Giving his view on Gaza crisis, Aizaz Chaudhry said Pakistan has always backed Palestinians’ cause.

He said Pakistan tabled a resolution in the United Nations Security Council (UNSC) on Wednesday against Israeli attacks violating Palestinians' human rights. He said Pakistan has also been active on OIC forum regarding resolution of the issue.

Aizaz Ahmed said Pakistan strongly condemns Israeli brutalities against Palestinians.

The truth is that Afghanistan, Pakistan and the U.S. have been affected by terrorism. We’ve lost thousands of brave soldiers in our shared quest for peace. We continue to face challenges in regards to our peace objectives in the region, and at the end of the day, we cannot over look the importance regional partners working together for the betterment of the region. It is important to keep in mind that our common enemies see our nations see as a common threat to their evil agenda, and would love to see us remain trapped in our differences. We cannot let the advantage shift in their favor, and it is simply important for us to let our common objectives prevail over any differences. We reiterate what Rear Admiral John Kirby, Defense Department Press Secretary, said recently: “We've been very clear for many years now that we share common threats with the Pakistanis, that terrorism there is a regional issue, it's not just an Afghan issue or a Pakistan issue. It's the whole region, and we remain committed to having as cooperative and as constructive a relationship with Pakistan as possible.”

That corny f*ck I am reading here from you in each and every f*cking post of yours!! stop copy pasting please.

PS: Frankly, Afghanistan will not do anything against anti-Pakistan elements in the bordering regions unless a mutual trust is built up between two countries and all anti-Afghanistan and anti-Pakistan terror elements and infrastructures are eliminated parallel-wise on both sides of the border.

That's why I can't wait for the next Afghan Government to come into power so that meaningful relationship and cooperation can be started. This Karzai government is like a zombie.

@Sher Malang @Irfan Baloch

We come across plenty of comments and questions regarding the U.S. policies in the region. We find many readers who have not heard our official stance or the latest statement issued by our officials. For example: the U.S. role in regards to the matters between Afghanistan and Pakistan is often questioned. It is always hard to respond to every question and concern, but we try to inform the readers and try to reach as many readers as possible with the latest developments and matters pertaining to our operations in our AOR (Area of responsibility).

thats the key and I pray that we have leaderships on both sides with vision and understanding that its time to try a different approach which is mutually beneficial.

when it happens remains to be seen but this change of heart for the good will have to come from within. A time when someone in Peshawar will be able to visit Kabul for the local delicacies and return back in the evening safe and sound and from Kabul to Peshawar and beyond..

@CENTCOM could you please explain how USA suffer from WOT ?
i dont remember any terror attack in USA after 9/11 ...

Afghanistan will not do anything against anti Pakistani elements who are hiding in Afghanistan, they will support them against Pakistan. They are only worried about Taliban who are fighting US, NATO, Indians & Afghan Army. Taliban in Afghanistan have only grown stronger & not even US do can do anything about it.

When US & NATO leave Afghanistan, Taliban will take over Afghanistan.

Centcom posts have proved US is backing Pak. I advise Pakistani PDF posters to keep their wiener in their pants and spare us with conspiracy theories.

We need to focus on ANA capabilities to secure their border. If we can help them get to that stage and they are sincere then that is win win.

Currently ANA are not progressing otherwise strong border presence would happen as Taliban fighters are based there too. They are not taking action.

Where is 100,000 ANA deployed in Taliban strongholds for their operation? Why is nato still doing the donkey work?

Pak should give it till the end of the year to get their act together because nato is leaving and it is up to ANA to secure their country, lets hope they are not like Iraq army and crumble under pressure.

If they do crumble then Pak must flatten Kunar and Nooristan to not only protect their border but to protect Afghanistan.

  • Would Afghanistan work with Pakistan to defeat this threat? - NO
  • Would Afghanistan stop being an Indian lapdog in order to pose a threat to Pakistan? - NO
  • Would India stop paying bribes to Afghan politicians and drug lords for keeping them 'cooperative' against Pakistan? - NO
  • Would Pakistan stop aiding elements of Afghan taliban when the current system in Afghanistan systematically marginalizes the majority Pashtuns and the fact that despite repeated rounds of talks (17 to be precise), Afghanistan is still bent on remaining an Indian aircraft carrier? - NO
In a bunch of No, Nos, Pakistan still needs to protect its interests by talks and by force. Afghanistan should stop harbouring RAW and its Army of Uzbek, Tajik, Afghan, Chachan, Daghistani and E.Turkistani mercenaries, and we will stop supporting elements which pose a threat to the Afghan govt. Until Afghanistan learns that lesson, we need to use force, where we can, how many times we can, as much as we can for as long as its needed on top of an ongoing dialogue just in a hope that we will catch them on a day when their brain is not under the effects of hashish and their pocket isn't filled with Indian money.

Even if two / three of those many "No's" change into Yes, we can sit down and hammer out our differences.......... the problem here is, they are mostly just plain-dumb............ they have no idea of benefits they can reap by just being ok (not nice but just ok) to us!
