Afghanistan-India Pact Defeats Pakistan Army

.
Indians and the American stooge(Karzai) are building sand castles ............ I say, just wait and see what the future holds for us, There is absolutely, no need to heed the Indian jibe, Such lowesome propaganda, is only designed to boost their inflated egos & give them rejoice on a fictional scenario( where they have defeated Pak Army )................. Talk about ''Delusions of Grandeur"

.
Well you should be proud that you still have 72% control. Enjoy while it lasts. In the mean time live and let live. Why aid in Afghans downfall by supporting Haqqani, Taliban, et al, when your land by your claims (28%) is not in your own control.

Correction, its actually more than 80%. Why are you interested destabilizing Pakistan through Afghan land when you have regions within your land where writ of the government is equal to zero?

.
Afghanistan has become a huge graveyard of blunders and failures of our khaki-clad geniuses but even after such immense humiliation and boundless failures our Napoleon wannabes are not ready to give up their ambition of having a "friendly" Afghanistan. Can we now ask our military generals to stop from interfering into matters which are beyond their mental and physical capabilities? Why don't you idiots let the civilian government run the policies regarding Afghanistan and you invest your whole energy and time on doing things you are good at - like making cereal, construction of gold clubs and golf courses and building new housing societies?

Hey i agree with you , How i wish pakistan had a strong powerful civilian leadership which could take strong decisions on its own without army's interference into policy making.... Leave Afg alone , dont try to make it as your "strategic depth" ... its nobody's backyard , its a proud sovereign country which no external force has been able to subdue for long ! If at all support it economically and in progress of Afg on the whole but not try to dominate it ... How i wish the leaders could understand it as well!!!

If Afghanistan and India begin a concerted onslaught, Pakistan would not last a week.

For that to happen, Afghanistan needs a proper, disciplined, well trained and well equipped military.

Currently, even with the billions of dollars poured in by the US/NATO, the Afghan Army is barely capable of taking on the para-military FC, let along make any tangible impact in terms of joining India in a 'two front war against Pakistan'. The Pak-Afghan border, rugged and mountainous, makes any quick mechanized advance impossible, except through the few established routes across the border.

The author needs to get out of lala land and analyze actual Afghan capabilities and potential in case of trying to fight a war against Pakistan.

Oh man! The author of this article needs to get his head examined! Hyperbole at its best! He's living in a fairyland of his own making. Is he for real?

Yes, to a certain extent it has got the Pak Army brass in a bit of a jig, but that doesn't change the overall scenario. Karzai will only last till Dec 2014 after which he'll be disposed off (if not assassinated before that!). This so called agreement between Afghanistan and India will then not be worth the paper it's written on!

but then seneor why so much heu & cry about it

Good now invite all 4million + afghans to India who are living in Pakistan for years.

.
Why even waste time and energy to do anything? Our strategic pact with Afghanistan is bilateral. Meaning the focus would be to develop the ties to help them into modern age. However, reaction will be there only and only in case "non-state actors" get uppity against Indian side or Indian efforts in reconstruction.

.
who writes these ridiculous articles?

defeats Pakistan Army?

yaar, let the Afghan national army first make Kabul safe. As for indians --well it would be naiive to think Pakistan establishment wont keep close eye to ensure they aren't continuing their foolish policy of using Afghan soil to foment terrorism and trouble in Pakistan; with that said, it's really the hindustanys and less the Pakistanis who are making a big deal of this so-called ''strategic deal'' (which offers nothing new over what's been going on already)

at the end of the day, we are neighbours with Afghanistan and due to the ongoing political developments, geographical and ethnic compositions --- we naturally have a reason to share some concerns, especially in light with the fact that india isn't exactly a ''friendly'' (very diplomatically stated)

i think the indians are smart enough at least to know that Pakistan will not sit idly and allow Afghanistan to become a hostile neighbour; if you mess with us, you can bet on your mother's life that we will strike you back....quite frankly, one hostile neighbour is enough. 2 would be more threatening, and it wouldnt be acceptable to the people nor to the establishment.

humanitarian works however we have no problem with, in fact Pakistan encourages it. We are doing the same. The whole world I think has a role to play here to help build their institutions and infrastructure in an evenly spread out way --one that suits Afghanistan on aggregate level --as opposed to just a regional/local warlord level.

.
interestingly enough, more years were spent recognizing the taleban government when there were civilian governments in Pakistan.....not military governments.

this scholarly author conveniently over-looked that ''minor detail''

.
and you are so happy to have support of the terrorists.. And then you wonder why the whole of USA, Europe and India calls you supporters of terrorists..

the northern alliance is the opposite side of the same coin, kiddo. They're both bad.

Pakistan even in the mid 1990s wasn't exactly ''supporting'' them in the sense that we were funneling cash to them and giving them piggy-back rides.

we had diplomatic relations with them and so obviously we had exchanges with them, at times we did chai-mitthai and other times were quite terse with them (e.g. after the embassy bombings in Africa, and most notably when we sent a delegation to Kabul to demand that they desist from destroying buddhist statues and other precious historic monuments)

you indians are just too stupid to look at the larger picture, and instead focus on villifying Pakistan every way you can. Can't blame you though, and definitely can't change your narrow mindsets.

(not interested in it anyways)

What 'additional reaction' can the 'Strategic Agreement' between India and Afghanistan provide in such a scenario, given the Afghan military's obvious limitations?

You write a pretty long post despite not being interested in the topic.. Thank God you were not.. Interested that is.. ;)

anyway on topic, the NA is no where in the picture in this discussion. Read thru the chain and you would know.. It really doesnt matter whether you were terse with Taliban sometimes or not. At the end of it, you were the only govt in the world who recognized a terrorist govt to the date it was thrown out by USA from Afghanistan..And its the other side of this coin that is eating away at your country in the form of Extremism, TTP and sectarian violence..But it seems that you Pakistanis were too stupid to preempt it and too incompetent to address it now...

This part shows that the writer is the biggest beneficiary of this "strategic" pact. He is getting a good daily dose of Afghan weed to smoke thanks to this pact after which he has written this article.
