Umar Mansoor's killing, Akhunzada's killing, Sajna's killing, Fazlullah's will be a real help and achievement in the war on terror. Instead this man has been bringing Taliban to the negotiating table. Its surprising how those that want to negotiate are the first ones to be killed. As if America is stopping them from talking peace and wants the belligerance to go on unendingly
He was talking peace, bringing Afghan taliban to the negotiating table. If Afghanistan is opposed to that why is Hekmatyar being accepted into the government after launching more than 200000 rockets on Kabul? I am usually pleased to hear about deaths of Taliban militants but this just reminds me of the killing of Nazir and Nek Muhammed, the former in the process of turning against the TTP, the latter who had signed a peace deal with the Pakistani government.
We do not trust the Americans I have to say. They kill militants at the worst times possible. I have never heard of a commander being killed when he is not at peace with us or negotiating. In fact Nazir's killing came at an inopportune time. When he was killing the TTP militants like the dogs they were. Days before the drone strike killed him the TTP had tried a car bomb attack against him. When the TTP wants someone dead and the Americans want the same person dead too it seems strange to me.

Azam Tariq had met the government’s negotiating peace committee comprising of Irfan Siddiqui, Maj. (retd) Muhammad Aamir, Rahimullah Yusufzai and Rustam Shah Mohmand at Orakzai Agency. Before joining the Taliban, Azam Tariq taught as a primary school teacher in South Waziristan.
