Afghan President to arrive Pakistan on Thursday

Afghan President Ashraf Ghani is paying a two day visit to Pakistan from tomorrow on the invitation of Prime Minister Imran Khan.

The Afghan President will be accompanied by a high-level delegation including Ministers, Advisors, Senior Officials and businessmen.

During the visit, President Dr. Arif Alvi will have a meeting with President Ghani while Prime Minister Imran Khan will hold delegation-level talks. The wide-ranging talks between the two sides would focus on strengthening bilateral cooperation in diverse areas including political, trade, economic, security, peace and reconciliation, education and people-to-people exchanges.

President Ghani will also travel to Lahore where he will participate in a business forum attended by business representatives from both countries.

This is President Ghani’s third visit to Pakistan and follows the recently held first review session of the landmark Afghanistan-Pakistan Action Plan for Peace and Solidarity.

In a statement, the Foreign Office spokesperson said the people of Pakistan and Afghanistan are bound by fraternal ties reinforced by historical, religious, linguistic and cultural affinities. Closer engagement between the leaders will help foster a stronger and multi-faceted relationship between Pakistan and Afghanistan.

Ghani's is illegitimate. His term is over. He should get nothing from us. Air corridors as well as Chaman and Torkham should remain closed to Afghanistan. Use Iranian ports.....I'm sure USA Iran tensions won't affect them. Status quo is not hurting us.

We only open our borders to the Taliban or other friendlier Afghan faction.....perhaps Hikmetyar.

how many consulates and embassy does India have in Afghanistan?

how many Afghan last year got Indian citizenship? are these embassies stamping tourist visas>? No

they are intelligence gather centres and locations from which India is destabilising Pakistan

We slapped him very softly at diplomatic level and offered reception protocol not as given to other leaders from Middle East and South East Asia. He deserve this becuase Afghans have lost a lot of goodwill in Pakistan due to their unreasonable anti Pakistan rhetoric and attitudes in recent years. I hope they avail the opportunity that the current government in Pakistan is offering them for peace and stability. This window may not stay open for too long. Their time is numbered and inshllah Taliban again rule in Afghanistan under the umbrella of 100% sharia law.
