Afghan president ordered US drone strike on APS mastermind, says envoy

who do you think provides americans with intel and pun point locations?

if america can violates pak and afghan sovereignty for a reason why cant pak for the same reason... to avenge the children and ro terminate terrorists... like india does in Burma... like they killed Burhan...

For first point that is why we have Armed drones and SIGINT to make Pun point attacks. For now all NDS effort are based on providing support to TTP. We have clear example of Latif mehsud and hhow he was being escorted by NDS when he was captured.

Secondly looks like this is American way of saying we have done our part so now help us save our a$$ from Taliban.

They just need to phrase it well.. for example - Friends not masters ....:D

More like Fiend than a Friend.

Instead of trolling, i am more interested in
1 - Who provided the intel to CIA?
2 - Did Afghan President inform Pakistan when this strike happened?
3 - Does this prove that Pakistan was right about TTP's HVTs using Afghanistan as a launchpad for attacks against Pakistan?

For face saving they want to get some credit for this. I think any one outside Kabul hardly takes his seriously.

America is a second home for many Muslim including Muslims, we pay taxes and work for that country which gives us full rights to express our likes and dislikes.

This is a stunt to cover that *** hole his false death news send us so we ask Afghanistan to hand over that *** hole

It's a joke of century know Afghan President orders drones to strike

His authority out of his palace won't work

America is not Christian country any true Muslim can live and criticize US foreign policy / Actions.
No No my man, We are a judeo christian country, and just because we treat all religions equally, ironically not so in Pakistan- it does not make us "not a majority christian country, with christian values'. Regardless that was not the point.

This is a very important question and one we Americans are very interested in. I'm asking, you as a real muslim that has alleged we are supporting, fermenting and unleashing terrorists on muslims and are responsible for their deaths. How do you square yourself as a true follower of Allah, to continue to live in the belly of the American satan aka muslim killers? You've made some highly charged allegations against us Americans. Did you sell yourself and your religion out just to be in our country and enjoy more rights, benefits, and a higher standard of living?

ISLAMABAD: Afghan ambassador in Islamabad Dr Omar Zakhilwal on Thursday claimed the air strike which killed Peshawar Army Public School (APS) massacre mastermind Umar Mansur was ordered by President Ashraf Ghani.

Zakhilwal said the Afghan president had mandated the air strike on the top Pakistani Taliban leader, Umar Mansur alias Khalifa.

The United States Defence Department claimed that a drone strike in Afghanistan’s Nangarhar province on July 9 reportedly killed Umar Mansur, along with four others.

Mansur, alias Aurangzeb, was a member of the Tariq Geedar Group responsible for the 144 deaths in the Army Public School, the Peshawar Airport and the Bacha Khan University.

“The recent air strike which killed Umar Mansur (alias Khalifa Mansur) in Afghanistan, along with seven of his close associates, was ordered by President Ghani after details about their whereabouts were confirmed,” ambassador Zakhilwal said.

“This proves a practical testament to the fact that Afghanistan will not treat terrorists as assets and target them without distinction,” he said in a statement posted on his official Facebook page.

Further, Pentagon also issued a statement regarding the attack after the top US commander in Afghanistan called on Army chief General Raheel Sharif to confirm Mansur’s death.

“While this strike was taken pursuant to US rules of engagement and counter-terrorism interests, the specific relevance it has to Pakistan and Afghanistan’s security underscores common security interests shared by the United States, Afghanistan, and Pakistan on matters of terrorism,” Pentagon Press Secretary Peter Cook said in a statement posted online.

“The United States maintains a robust counter-terrorism partnership with Afghanistan and Pakistan and we recognise sacrifices made on behalf of our respective military to pursue terrorists for the sake of regional peace and security,” Cook said.

“Only through continued cooperation will we collectively succeed in eliminating terrorist safe havens in the region,” the Pentagon spokesperson said.

“In this regard we also recognise the importance of General Raheel’s recent directive to all commanders, intelligence agencies and law enforcement agencies to take concrete measures against those who would attack Afghanistan,” he recalled.
