Pakistani Trucks can go to every part of the Afghanistan, not bonded to Kabul regime only however, Afghan trucks are not allowed..... oh wait... there are Trucks of Afghanistan and karzai wants them to roam freely inside Pakistan beside the credibility of Kabul Limited Regime. Ghani should also dare to stop all the trucks that mostly includes NATO supply and see what is coming next.

We should let them do as they wish, but make strict checks against smuggling of supplies. When the trucks are in Afghanistan let them deal with the supplies. Might help with drug smuggling in the long term.
And rather then an open border policy there should be a restrictive one with certain time tables and formalities to curb smuggling, drug trafficking, and reduce the fuel import bill for us.

Well, I am serious here, will be and more will be with a lot of ifs, may be and OR, has nothing to do here. NATO has been expressing a lot for the credibility of Ghani and its forces and when it comes to bigger plan, US, China, Pakistan and Afghanistan are on table with Taliban for peace talks and all. The days of at listening end and do more are the part of history and our relations are now more based upon cooperation and sharing actionable Intel to work together. Afghan president bans Pakistani trucks from entering Afghanistan

Afghan President Ashraf Ghani has issued a decree banning Pakistani trucks from entering the country via the Torkham and Spin Boldak border crossings, ToloNews reported.

The Afghan Transport Ministry confirmed the move on Sunday, saying that trucks would only be allowed up to the border crossings, at which point the trucks will have to offload their goods and transfer them to Afghan trucks, according to ToloNews.

"The Afghanistan and Pakistan Trade Agreement (APTA) has expired. Before this Pakistan did not allow Afghan trucks to enter its territory. So we [will] do the same, and after this Pakistani trucks will be unloaded at borders and Afghan trucks will carry the goods to Hairatan and Shir Khan ports," Transport Ministry Spokesman Hekmatullah Qawanch said.

It is believed that Ghani's decree will provide a greater number of job opportunities for truckers and transit companies. "Currently there is no work for transit companies and the drivers are at home," a director of a transport company, Abdul Ghafoor Norzai, said.

"Pakistani trucks go to every part of our country, but our trucks are not allowed to enter Pakistan. We want the government to do the same to Pakistan and also help us to be allowed to enter neighbouring countries," said Abdul Rauf, the head of a transport company.

Now we can live peacefully. But 1st let us unload 5-10 million Afghans back home from Pakistan. Then permanently seal the border with Afghanistan and severe all links. Job done. A win-win for Pakistan.

India did trade with Iran during sanctions and will find a way for the route. US too wants an alternative to contain the blackmailing that Pakistan wants to do with the backing of China in near future.

there is no limit in dreaming that the yanks will take their supplies through Iran. The issue is between two countries but it is giving you indians constipation! No indian supply will pass through Pakistan to afghanistan period.

1. What china will do related to Taliban or in Afghanistan? He is not true sakeholder. Compare to China, India will play major role because we don't want Afghanistan again goes to terrorists hand. It will directly impact to south region. Other hand, china just shared 76 km border with Afghanistan. They can easily manage. US or Russia, who will be there in Afghanistan, they will Include India as well if talk about south Asia.

2. Pakistan just doing what again US is asking to do as like Mussaraf. Only one statement came from your army chief that rest world has to do more but now same thing getting repeated. Drone attacks, etc etc..
3. Pakistan is trying hard to be with US what so ever US is saying and pakistan is doing.

It is painful for Afg. for a moment. But yes slowly but steadly trade will shift towards chabahar.

Great, there is no harm in dreaming I have been hearing of Chabahar port for a decade or more. anyway as for this ban when it benefits india it remains to be seen.
