Afghan Panel Criticizes the transfer to excess US weapons (f-16s, etc.) to Pakistan on Tawde Khabare

-- items which the Afghans must know that they cannot operate -- I mean come on -- the ANA cannot maintain Humvees, the f-16s would rot like the carcasses of Mig-21s that litter Bagram and Shindand.

So I think the question is why would our Afghan "brothers" cry foul? Any takers? ;-)

Instead these equipment will end up in 'kabari market' of Kabul and sold, for this much corrupt is the Afghan government. Why they cry foul? What else losers do other than complaining?

Tawde Khabare is a popular talk show on Tolo News, arguable the most influential media group in Afghanistan.

In addition to Pakistan -- pretty bad bashing of the USA by even members of Parliament.

Over and over again: "Agar Amerika Mokhlis-ast" (if American is sincere) -- Why, don't Afghans realize that it not America's job defend your country or feed Afghans.

A number of analysts have criticized the Washington move, and add that U.S. does not have interest in building the capacity of Afghanistan. Adding that the need for the aircrafts were more in Afghanistan.

Pashto -- not really -- it's one language that has thoroughly defeated me -- I can probably speak/understand more Hebrew -- lol
Strange considering my wife is Pakhtun and my roommates in boarding school were more than 50% pakhtun -- so I've been around Pashtu for large portions of my life -- briefly tried studying it using a Berkley Uni course but was not able to make ANY head way.
I do listen to Pasto music a lot -- Ustad Sarhang, Nashinas, etc. and get my wife to translate ;-)
also a lot of street Rubab on youtube

Between Farsi Turkish + Urdu -- I can make out the gist of what is being said in Pashto (sometimes) if there is enough to go on -- for instance bachak is oddly knife in both Turkish and Pashto.

Plus Farsi has been a tradition on both sides of my family -- grew up to Parents quoting Hafez, Saadi -- tragic that the younger generation seems to have completely lost it -- it's more Bollywood now -- lol -- I suspect Ramayana has replaced Khayam
