Mob mentality exists in the entire region..

Here it wasn't a case of mob justice but the family of the woman and their brand of justice..

Swabi is mostly inhabited by Yousafzais .. Educated and dynamic people .. Had it been some tribal agency .. He was pretty much dead.

In the end .. Nobody would take it easy if his wife or sister was harassed by an unwelcomed refugee... And specially not village folks.

Look at the so called civilised and highly educated Europe these days..

What are the police and investigative department of the state for?

No doubt i am a strong supporter of Afghan refugee return and i have no love for them but this is absolute brutality. Mob justice has been there in pakistan bcz there is no such thing as police. Police is only used as a tool by politicians.

I don't think so especially if the whole village was behind it. Also in KPK it is not so easy. The police system is much improved and transparent. Furthermore, people have right to information in KPK so I don't think police could let him go prior to proper investigation.

Even if you dont consider state laws then even Sharia law requires a trail not Mob justice. An Afghan man was severely beaten and his ears were chopped off by villagers allegedly for harassing a married woman in a remote village of Razaar tehsil here on Friday, said police.

Mob Justice is not tolerable at all. If the man did wrong he should be booked for the task and all those involved must be apprehended. Nonetheless in Pashtun culture (may it be in Pakistan or Afghanistan) any bid to harm the sanity or respect of a woman is taken very seriously and personal to such an extant that people do killed in aftermath actions. So for that I would regard the reaction of the husband and relatives of that woman as natural.
