Mission completion ~ 36-72 hours max.

b. 6 x Brigades ( 4 x motorized, 1 x armored, 1 x airborne). Air borne brigade is over kill. One battalion is sufficient.
c. 1 x SSG Battalion Already covered in Point B above.
d. 1 x AH-1F/S Attack squadron
e. 2 x Rotary Aviation Transport squadrons
f. 3-4 Medium SP artillery regiments
g. 1-2 Assault engineer battalions.
h. Real time UAV/UCAV drone support providing info and fire support.

Afghanistan is no match militarily to Pakistan but considering its vast land mass and mountainous terrain do you really think that you can capture Kabul in 36-72 hours??? Even USA with its most advanced military couldn't do that.... off course I know Pakistan sharing border with them and can send large infantry troops will give them some advantage....

Well this isn't unexpected. Even our so called strategic depth fellas gave us the middle finger on Durand line. But yet again, some people in this country fawn over foreign entities over some misplaced sense of ethnic/religious/sectarian ties.

Should have taught Afghanistan a lesson back when they were busy supporting secessionists in the 50s and 60s. But no, everyone who hates us is our brader. Who needs enemies when we have such braders.

Pakistan doesn't need to take Kabul. What Pakistan needs to do is annex Wakhan and create a safe zone for Pashtuns in Afghanistan. That way, they will be safe from Northern Alliance guys, and at the same time, Afghan-Pak border region can't be used against Pakistan.

But don't worry, most of our leadership is more concerned about their bank balances, lavish property plots and sending their kids out to Oxford/Standford to study, than they are about the threats faced by Pakistan.

Good points. Most Pakistani still don't know that all Afghans , especially the people in Afghan taliban do not accept durand line.

I am just wondering , what happens if Afg Taliban gets way too powerful on their own and in the absence of american troops , start being more ambitious with their territorial objectives ? Does ISI have any contingency plan if such things happen ?

Be careful of what you wish for. Remember , Afghanistan is full of drugs and terrorism and a home base of almost all terror outfits. What will happen if all Americans leave and those terrorists start targeting us ?

Yes we will be able to capture Kabul between 36 to 72 hours because of the exact reason you mentioned. However sustaining it will be another question and that is where the real fight will begin.
