Afghan Female Football Team Along with Their Families Cross Torkham Border for Asylum in Pakistan

.
Surprisingly very little international coverage, I wonder why.

.
There are a lot of Pakistanis that wouldn't want female sports to be banned in Pakistan but would be okay with the Taliban doing it. At the end of the day, geopolitics matters more than this in the real world. Sad sight to see.

From the news sources Taliban has not banned women's sports. As an Afghan it's a perfect refugee application express ticket... Don't forget they brought all their family members with them.

If I'm an Afghan woman ... I'd just become a sportswoman or a Singer or a dancer ... Then declare myself oppressed.... Stamp! Stamp!... London, New York, Paris ... Here I come ... AllahuAkbar Free Welfare and my Mujahid brother is traveling with me! ;)

I don't care what Afghanistan do as long as Pakistan stops getting mentioned alongside them. :hitwall: How can you drive investment, this BS is not good for business.

Seal the border so tight, return all the refugees and fully vet anyone coming in from Afghanistan, this is the only solution. If families want to see each other then get a visa or move to Afghanistan.

I said this foot ball team seems for transit visa

Then this applies..

Since their return to power, the Taliban have already banned women from participating in sports and beaten women who took to the streets to call for equal rights, as well as Afghan journalists who covered their protest.

Pakistan doesnt care what happens in afghanistan neither does america as long as its not hostile to pakistan or america and is not brewing instabilty that could lead to crisis of terrorism or refugees

Question one should ask why was a govt hostile to its neighbour even funded by the west?

Not surprisng..you cant expect taliban to allow women sports when majority of pakistanis would nt want it..more importantly even moderate countries like iran and saudis ban it so why would u expect a extremist govt to allow it

Lastly is sports more important or afghanistan carying the world highest maternal mortality almost 1000 times higher(second to pakistan almost 90 times higher) then what west achieved in the 1980s

I wasn't talking about how governments would behave or should react. I was just talking about how people think about a matter, where my point stands. Ordinary Pakistanis are 'okay' with a lot of measures of the Taliban that they wouldn't want in their own country.

They have banned women sport by the way, it's well known now. I was just talking about how a lot of Ordinary Pakistanis are okay with measures implemented by the Taliban on Afghanistan but wouldn't want the same ones here. Its all geopolitics, where morality takes a back seat.
