“We will not allow the Pakistanis to construct the gate at any cost because their action is against international laws and we will prevent them.”
Lol, Pakistanis could build border gates within their country borders and it's not against the international laws at all.

But one more thing can be done by Pakistani officials with in the scope of international laws which is;
Sealing the border completely, changing the rules of engagement for the Afghanistan-Pakistan border and regarding any approaching elements from Afghanistan as hostile targets.

Let this gate be made so that we can start the long process of border management.

lol it's non issue Afghanistan talking bull as usual there is ceasefire with Pakistan while we still continued the construction of the gate .Seems they have seen sense and accepted the status quo.

.
Guys, i didn't know that there is a border dispute between Afganistan and Pakistan.
"Although it is recognised internationally as the western border of Pakistan, it remains largely unrecognised in Afghanistan."

That makes the situation complex.....did they ever signed any treaty for accepting the border ?

.
So they want to provoke us not to fight but to expel pashtoon afghan refugees. So pakistan lose its influence in pashtoon afghans plus their disperse and hunger make them more weak against northern alliance.
OMG, that's a win win situation.
you got it

Northern Alliance has brutalised the Afghan Pasthons so much that they had to fall back to the Taliban and the way Northern Alliance scumbags have mistreated the Afghan population in general and specially the Pashtons in the south is one of the reason why Taliban found space and acceptance even among the non-Pashton population. this is not a hollow claim but something evidenced by the western forces and people who met the people

these scumbags are ready to blame Haqqanis and Pakistan for all the ills in Afghanistan but have little to no care for their own brutalised population.

yes Pakistan needs to be smart and its military must be careful not to fall in the trap of these scumbags.

I say everyone to only address them as Northern Alliance scumbags .. NOT as Afghans. we have no issues with them. we have housed them more than 4 decades now more than the ages of many people on this forum despite the ills Afghans have also positively contributed much to the society.
blind brute force must be avoided and smartly used

In 2002 my brother was working in an oil refinery, Americans place the order of JP-1 in Afghanistan, When our oil tanker drivers came back from Afghanistan, they were too much furious, they told the stories how northern alliance soldiers threatened them and they were really in blood thirst of Pakistanis.

Absolutely not. It was the goodwill of Pakistan which allowed unfiltered entry to any tom dick and harry from Afghanistan. But since the Kabul government has shown no inclination of officially recognising the border, has allowed terrorist groups which target Pakistan to reside in Afghanistan, and has heavily courted India, there is no incentive left for Pakistan hence to care about their wishes.

On legal grounds, under the principle of uti possidetis set in international law, Pakistan legally inherited the partitioned borders of the former British India, and as such anything that we do on our side of the border is perfectly legal under international law.

Thank you.

Yes, they signed a series of treaties with the British concluding in the Treaty of Rawalpindi in 1919 which demarcated the border between Afghanistan and British India. Upon independence in 1947, Pakistan inherited the partitioned borders of British India, and under the principle of uti possidetis which I have mentioned in the post linked below. Therefore under international law they have absolutely no legal standing when they claim the border is disputed. Also it doesnt help their case that every single country and international organisation in the world except them recognises the border between the two countries including the UN.
