Advanced Technology Vehicle successfully flight-tested ISRO

.
ISRO three years back designed and developed a new microprocessor named Vikram with is ten times more powerful than the Motorola 680060 processor used in ISRO's launch vehicles. PSLV and GSLV are now have Vikram onboard.

That is wonderful. Even though 68060 is a processor came up in 1994, the fact that ISRO can develop a process that is superior to 68060 just 3years ago is commendable.

Maybe you can keep your sarcastic tone to yourself. Maybe the fact that a space research agency whose core capability is in designing rockets actually takes time out and designs a processor to fulfill it's needs is what has to be commended. If it's 'comendability' you want to talk about, they also tested the world's third most powerful solid booster.

show me an indian designed and made processor that can be used for flight control, please

What is your problem man?
Do you find it difficult to admit India's ISRO is going to make ATV?

If Yes this is not the right place for you

Design of the processor depends on the usability, what is the use of the processor which is more powerful but is of no use to our design.

Yeah, its really wonderful. A space agency developing a microprocessor. Vikram is more than enough to power current lunch vehicles thats why ISRO is not developing more powerful microprocessor. Otherwise they have capability to develop some of the most powerful in the world.

BTW do you have any knowledge why ISRO is not using powerful Intel or AMD processors??

there are a lot of "side tracks" that come from trying to develop an advanced technology. Have you guys ever tried to find something / do someting on your own?? most of the times we end up learning about a lot of different things and which will be very useful later on.

Thats is exactly what the incentive to develop own scientific studies. I read a story on how composites that were used for satellites were later on used to develop artificial limbs for people - lightweight and durable.

Also, using satellites to beam scientific programs on TVs to far flung areas. Maybe providing medical help to people via viedo conferencing.

what I am trying to arrive at is:

although the news cites that India developed ATV etc etc, am sure there are a lot more ideas/knowledge new inventions that came along with this research and it will all be useful.
