For your info and digestion, the economy of India is the eleventh largest in the world by nominal GDP and the third largest by purchasing power parity (PPP). It is one of the G-20 major economies.

India's GDP is almost $2 Trillion! And you call it a 'poor' economy? Jeeez! In contrast Pakistan is just about reaching $200 billion! (Of course, where China is concerned they are pretty much ahead with a GDP of $7.2 Trillion).

Can't do....Russia is a trusted ally and we have our own differences not to forget they(Russia) have good technology and experience in ACC.

Instead of China family, we would definitely like China as a good ally and great trade partner. I think India and China should rather act to make each other Regional (India) and Global (China) power. These western nations can't be trusted.

We are seeing how US is leaving other ally countries alone in case of confrontation with China. These yanks have their foreign policy just to decelerate others technological, political and economical progress, hope India keep this in mind and focus more on domestic development.

Just for your information, PPP is what matters. It gives the accurate purchasing power of a country. Nominal GDP isnt actually a practical way to judge a country's purchasing power. Hence why, its always GDP (PPP) that is used to judge a country's economic strength.

Russia lacks behind in manufacturing quality. At the time of the deal it was the only viable option but now it seem to have become "Gale ki haddi".

But like every bad news also have some silver lining. It has also has few ones

1) Good that this happened before december while the ship was in the custody of Russians.
2) It will force us to be more self reliant. I believe that this is the last naval ship we are purchasing from Russia. Rest would be manufactured in house as we have built the infrastructure now.
3) May be this will open the eyes of other military arms and the givernment, and they will put more effort in idigenity. The major indian platforms e.g. arjun and LCA and AMCA might get boost

PPP is only a theoretical exchange rate, not real, you can say to Rassian"I will give you 78.3 billion R.s for the carrier, bcs as ppp, 78billion R.s =2.9billion$", hope Rassian will accept your advice
