Adjutant General Branch Puts a ban on the Facilities for Veterans(VOP)!

Agree 100%. Plus they love to loot anyone who lives overseas…..just want your money……too many hypocrites here(yet they try to appear sober and shareef by keeping beard and pray 5 times).
The old babay r the worst, they argue fir nothing even when wrong
Total dumb qaum…..filthy and morally beghairats they’ve become.

I see Pakistanis making fun of Afghans for being violent cavemen, but I see no difference other than the fact that we live in cities.

Afghans are better, posses a better sense of freedom and ghairat. They could have easily signed up to be imperial foot soldiers of the US empire and enjoyed the perks that East India Company's Pakistani Army generals do.

Perhaps I’m not as learned as a lot of people on this forum. Maybe I’m not as intelligent. Maybe I’m just a paindu.

But if I’ve learned anything on my limited time on earth, it’s the nature of Pakistanis. I think genetically the majority of us are naturally predisposed to psychopathy and narcissism. We are egotistical to the point that it is physically sickening. No Pakistani can ever be wrong and if provided evidence we rather kill the person in front of us instead of admitting it.

When you show a Pakistani kindness, he/she sees it as sign of weakness and takes full advantage(classic characteristic of psychopaths).

The armed forces are no different from us. They are also Pakistani. We’ve showed them kindness to the point of laddiyan karni. Sar pe bataa ke rakha huwa he inko. And what happened? They saw it as a sign of weakness and took advantage.

Kuttay ki doom kahbi seedhi ne hoti, seedhi karni parti he.

Just look at our cricket players. They win one match and we start praising them. Then these mattarchors start eating burgers and go clubbing and lose the next one. Then we have to start giving them ma bhen gaalis so they can start doing what they’re supposed to again.

Whether it’s the army, cricket team, judiciary, pulas, medical doctors or whatever the case, in saab ko keench ke rakhna parta he, otherwise they see it as a weakness and start to take advantage.

Nasal hi jo aisi he.

I’m sure many people won’t agree with me, but that’s how I feel.
You aren’t wrong - even many Pakistanis abroad display the same characteristics unless they came in really young so they adopted the model of their new nation.

If anything, this goes beyond just Pakistan and the very idea Dr. Iqbal warned against: bragging and living in the achievements of those before you or unrelated to you.
Even today Pakistanis are lost in fantasies of muslim achievements or achievements in 65 or that of people in the past. They consider those validation for their own capabilities and therefore think they are god’s gift to earth.

In reality, Pakistanis are in general below average(tell me how many will you hire direct from Pakistan if given the chance to run something like Twitter?) only because they consider themselves above average.

The Pakistani military IS NOT THE BEST in the world and hardly comes out in the most professional ones either depending upon the leadership quality. Its luck of survival against threats purely comes down the incompetence of the threat themselves (India) or gracious saviors abroad.

But the military to your point comes from Pakistanis - and because Pakistanis are themselves so full of themselves that they take the slightest praise to think of themselves as anaouzubillah the next Rasool and then consider the rest Achoots.

The result is what you see today - if anything, the very idea of a Pakistani is so far from the idea of what muslim should be that its more about the cultural(and not the good type) mashup of the natives and immigrants trying to fit into a box that isn’t big enough.

My wife is Arain and likely as your ancestors were came from migrants from what is now Indian punjab - my father in law narrates regarding his father and grandfather that while they did move willingly they weren’t happy about it. Not because of the land because the reputation of the west was that of thieves and barren land. A 2nd generation Faisalabadi from Faridkot told me the same thing - They considered their ancestral land better cultured and of “good families” than what was in Pakistan.

That doesn’t tell me that the people truly native to Pakistan were bad - but that the tribal ego that divided India before partition and the idea that “my family tree” is the best and everything else is trash still haunts Pakistan to this day and is the root cause of self aggrandizement and ethnic/racial strife among other things.
So if a people collectively are still not over “Syed, Mirza or Afghan” and continue to live in that fantasy and consider everyone else worthless even if they themselves are totally incompetent and incapable- what exactly can they hope to achieve??

Pakistan is held together by a few hundred to few thousand individuals throughout its history and that is the truth. The rest of the population is actively working to tear MA Jinnah’s … sorry, whatever is left of his sacrifice down

I completely agree with you as my experience dealing with Pakistanis is the same

Guys everyone is getting it wrong.
Here are some rules and guidelines:

If you are with pti, then no matter what you r always right.

If you have even the slightest difference of opinion with pti, then you r traitor at best.

This should be enough for getting started on PDF nowdays.

Retired officer should also follow code of conduct as a retired army officer, before putting blame on any institute they must have proofs for that and if they act like a headless chicken they must be disciplined.

Lots of retired army officer associate themselves with politics and all of sudden start feeling like a field marshal of every field while air force and navy officer maintain their conduct.
Common people are giving them importance because they were associated with armed forces and that is why they should behave disciplined or get ready to loose perks and privileges that they are taken.
I have no sympathy for retired personnel bad mouthing the very institution that pays for their retirement benefits. If they do then they should be ready for the associated repercussions.

The ones in uniform, god bless, are doing what they must which is to not fall for the stupid nonsense from the likes of Shabaz Gill et-al suggesting troops to mutiny. A moron of the highest order who has no clue about what a slippery slope his tripe will lead this country to.

What I have learned from months of watching this circus play out is that in this hammam, sab hee nangay hain. No need to point fingers at others when there is a crap-load of baggage being carried on all backs.

Sorry if my narrative is not in line with yours. I'm just sick and tired of this holier-than-thou showboating and whataboutism that is prevalent in this country. It leads to nothing but regression and all are party to it specially the ones self-proclaiming moral ascendency. And while this never-ending circus plays out, the country lies listlessly or crawls towards an eventual implosion and the ones talking big will be the first to run when $hit hits the fan.

So no accountability not even questioning the institution. It lies above the people and needs black vigos to demand respect.

The slippery slope started with the original sin. The way forward is introspection and correction instead of victim mentality.

All retired personnel know what the deal is and what they can say, what they cannot say and what the potential repercussions could be. Let's not try to put a civilian lens on this as the inside of the military does not run like a "liberal democracy". Those who retire have to abide by some of these customs even after retirement.

Are these customs or law? If it’s the former then these actions are nothing but illegal persecution.

And maybe I have missed something but even some people very careful with their words like Gen. Lodhi have fallen victim to it.

There is no one weaker then the one demanding respect by force. Anyone who does that may deserve pity but not respect.

There are rules. Most of these officers (specially the 2 stars and above) have been out of service for less than 10 years. The ink hasn't even dried on their retirement yet.

As was said before, there is responsibility associated with the spoken words.

Civilians pay all armed forces expenses? so army personals retired/on duty must side with public? lets say with the constitution.

If they are culprit, properly charge them and made it public.. be loud and proud about the justice army has served to these retired persons.

Some questions:

Isn’t the rule for six months (could be wrong)?

Are the rules encoded and enforceable law?

Are these restrictions for classified matters or general opinions?

How one’s constitutional right of free speech as a citizen of Pakistan be curbed by any rule or regulations when the person is not bound by requisite discipline of being in service, as long as it does not divulge national secrets?

Side with the public to do what? Badmouth their own institution so supporters of one political party can feel better?

And what makes you think that the entire public is interested in bad-mouthing their own armed forces?

If they are culprit, properly charge them and made it public.. be loud and proud about the justice army has served to these retired persons.
They are not guilty of a crime, they broke rules and customs of service. They may get penalized for that but many of these people know the risks of doing what they were doing.

Listen, the concept is simple. If someone was in service, and felt very strongly about an issue, they can resign their commission. This means you walk away from your pay, pension and any other benefits associated with your commission. It is no different in retirement. You know what you are doing, you understand the risks to your benefits (the service expects you to be in good standing with it), so then the individual has to make the call but they should not cry about benefits being rescinded after they break the rules.

It seems all retired persons should stop thinking independtly. They must conform to current COAS, then if he sides with the US, then all should start supporting, If he sides with PPP, all should adhere to his idead, if he sides with TTP, all mustn't complaint. If he sides with PTI then all must follow his leadership. It feels like Kim Jong-Un version.

Reminds me of George Orwell’s 1984.

Oceania was at war with Eurasia: therefore Oceania had always been at war with Eurasia.
