aditi arya to represent india in "miss world" pageant

Can you give me here, young potential Indian politician....?

from the progressive "aam aadmi party" seems to be alka lamba, who in her student days was a students union leader... she is yet to come to national notice but she has the potential...

from the congress party is its president, rahul gandhi... now, the this party, indian national congress, is a generally a capitalist and nato-oriented movement but rahul is a well-meaning fellow who can change the direction of his weakened party to join the aap and the socialists in a progressive grouping...

and there is his sister, priyanka vadra, who some years ago was quite involved with congress party work and seemed to have been a hard-working leader who was liked by the civilians who supported congress...

regrettably, the public socialists/communist groups don't seem to have a young leader but i hope to involve myself in this direction. :)

@jamahir she reminds me of eli avraam.kudos

i don't like wars, though i will defend the stand of every progressive/socialist thought in the world... no one should be talking of war... war is barbarism and should be abolished..

Bent double, like old beggars under sacks,
Knock-kneed, coughing like hags, we cursed through sludge,
Till on the haunting flares we turned our backs,
And towards our distant rest began to trudge.
Men marched asleep. Many had lost their boots,
But limped on, blood-shod. All went lame; all blind;
Drunk with fatigue; deaf even to the hoots
Of gas-shells dropping softly behind.

Gas! GAS! Quick, boys!—An ecstasy of fumbling
Fitting the clumsy helmets just in time,
But someone still was yelling out and stumbling
And flound’ring like a man in fire or lime.—
Dim through the misty panes and thick green light,
As under a green sea, I saw him drowning.

In all my dreams before my helpless sight,
He plunges at me, guttering, choking, drowning.

If in some smothering dreams, you too could pace
Behind the wagon that we flung him in,
And watch the white eyes writhing in his face,
His hanging face, like a devil’s sick of sin;
If you could hear, at every jolt, the blood
Come gargling from the froth-corrupted lungs,
Obscene as cancer, bitter as the cud
Of vile, incurable sores on innocent tongues,—
My friend, you would not tell with such high zest
To children ardent for some desperate glory,
The old Lie: Dulce et decorum est
Pro patria mori.

hmm, the killing fields of world war 1, with its gas attacks and trenches... and then came world war 2, a war that was supposed to end all wars.

And now we have people clamouring for country A to nuke country B in another thread.

Its amazing to see the number of internet psycopaths around.

War is an ultimate last resort....nuclear war must not even be a resort...because we can then kiss our dreams of achieving our reach for the stars. Next 100 - 200 years are going to be very critical, since we are all going to be stuck on one planet.....an overcrowded classroom with fidgety, restless kids.
