Additional District and Sessions Judge acquitted Uzair Baloch in three cases.
The prosecution failed to prove the allegations against Uzair Baloch. The court acquitted him in three cases of police encounter, attempted murder and rioting. The co-accused in the case have already been acquitted in these cases.
The court remarked that the prosecution had failed to produce witnesses against the accused. Cannot punish the accused without evidence. The court ordered that the accused be released from jail if he was not named in any other case.
It may be recalled that on April 1, 2012, a case of attempted murder was registered in Kalakot police station on the complaint of the government. Police said that Uzair Baloch and 9 other accused wanted in murder and other serious cases were present in Kalakot area. The accused attacked the police with intent to kill.
ASI Abdul Waheed was injured in the firing. The accused had fled into the streets after the police returned fire. Two cases of assault on police and attempted murder were registered at Chakiwara police station.
More than 50 cases against Uzair Baloch have been registered in different police stations.
