Citing unnamed Wisma Putra officials, The Star Online reported that Wisma Putra would seek an explanation from the Chinese ambassador on his remarks which were seen to be interfering in Malaysia's domestic affairs.
Dr Huang was reported by The Star as saying yesterday that the Chinese government was opposed to terrorism, extremism and any forms of discrimination based on race.
"The Chinese government opposes terrorism and any form of discrimination against races and any form of extremism," he was quoted as saying.
Beijing, he said, would not think twice about voicing out against any threats to the interests of its citizens or anything that disrupts the relationship between Malaysia and China.
