What's new

Accept Vande Mataram or go to Pakistan

And the person who issued Fatwa must be the most dumbest..:)

Sir it's ok, some of these muslims are exactly as everyone stereotype them as. Fort Hood shootings, NO one condemned it from the Muslim Community. Where is the Fatwa? Instead we get:

Murder has no religion - CNN.com

Saying "Islam" didn't do it is the 1st thing they say. Nothing about "we do not encourage it, we are strongly condemning this".

Vande Mataram is a beautiful song, it's rubbish that they think we're treating our country as "god". How? Isn't god supposed to be "Allah" in that case, you are not worshiping the country as it's not a person =)

Thank you muslim brothers of India, who sing with me.

Shia board seeks Urdu translation of Vande Matram

ISLAMABAD: Amidst a controversy over Muslims reciting the Vande Matram, the All-India Shia Personal Law Board (AISPLB) has asked New Delhi to get the national song translated into Urdu to help the community understand the its real meaning and spirit, an Indian television channel reported on Monday. According to the channel, the board’s chairman, Maulana Mirza Muhammad Athar, has written to Indian Prime Minister Manmohan Singh and president, to arrange an accurate translation of Vande Matram as soon as possible. “The controversy over Vande Matram it not new, while one section of community leaders opposes its recital by Muslims, some favour it,” AISPLB spokesman Maulana Yasoob Abbas said. He said efforts should be made to address the controversy once and for all. “A correct and authentic translation of Vande Matram into Urdu is the best option as it will help the Muslims decide whether they want to recite the national song or not,” he said. He claimed the repeated controversy over Vande Matram was resulting in “hatred” among the communities. “A worthless debate is being carried out on the issue, which is communally sensitive. Muslims should be told about the real meaning and spirit of Vande Matram,” Abbas said. app

Interesting read...

"We neither believe that Vande Mataram is a test case of someone’s patriotism. Nor, do we agree with the Jamiat interpretation that reciting the song would endanger one’s faith," the group said in a statement.

A group of concerned Muslim public personalities, leaders and intellectuals has come out strongly against the recent move of the Jamiat Ulema-e-Hind (M group) to revive the controversy over the singing of Vande Mataram. They also condemned the attempts of the ‘Hindu right wing forces’ to impose its recitation as a test of one’s sense of patriotism. Pointing out that the debate on the issue had been settled way back in 1930s — with the consent of the then leadership of the Jamiat — that controversial portions of the song would not be sung, the group said the attempt to revive the controversy was unnecessary. “We neither believe that Vande Mataram is a test case of someone’s patriotism. Nor, do we agree with the Jamiat interpretation that reciting the song would endanger one’s faith,” the group said in a statement. Among the hundreds of signatories to the statement are lyricist Javed Akhtar, film actor and director Naseeruddin Shah, film director Saeed Akhthar Mirza, actor Shabana Azmi and social activist Shabnam Hashmi. They also questioned the Jamiat’s demand that Shariat norms should be observed for Muslim girl students after they reached the age of 10. “It is a retrogressive move not only to isolate girls from the mainstream of national education, but also to keep them confined in a secluded sectarian atmosphere. It is shocking to demand Shariat norms in education for girls or for any segment of society in a secular State.” Likewise, they took strong exception to Jamiat’s advice to Muslim students not to join government or non-government schools on the ground that in such institutions they get isolated and sometime not get to know Islamic values. Calling this an indirect attempt to keep Muslim students away from mainstream education, the leaders said, “[this] is exactly what Hindutva forces want. It will not only keep the community backward”, they said.

shame for a country to lose it's national song spirit like this i must say.
For a Country which caters 125Cr, you should really try to find the root causes for such a stance rather then sending anyone anywhere. Regardless of Muslims, Hindus, Christians or Sikhs your country should be united. If one of the faction is uneasy about a national issue, you must try to find out the flaws in the system which renders them to form such an opinion about your 'National Song'.

may be the song is rather not more rational National then Religious?
There could be any other reason too. You've gotta research.

'sarey jahan se acha' in my opinion suits your national agenda.
but then you won't implement it because it was written by a Muslim.

Think about that.
