He was an acquaintance/friend to me. We were friends on linkedin and facebook, and talked on the phone a few times. Unbelievable.

Rip and I love bikes , but I hates bike too .... In US rarely people survive in bike accidents. Call it death ride.
In this season roads are very slippery , specially VA,WA area ...

The crash must have been really bad if the Bike is damaged to such an extent. From his photos i see he does wear protective gear, but it did not save him.

Majority cases biker lost control at exit. They need to reduce speed miles away , but....... disc breaks not always helpful, during rainy season .

I can't believe the passing of someone I knew only online would effect me this much. I guess message boards can have a bigger influence than you think- He was one of the first people who was among my friends/follow lists on this forum. I just wanna mellow down and try and be cool with everyone because they can be gone in an instant.
