Just a little correction, we are not an agriculture economy now, sadly. Services driven eonomoy now trying really hard to crack into manufacturing. Spells trouble for the environment when countries like China and India try to push their economic growth through manufacturing.
On topic - It makes no sense to fabricate this phone call as many Pakistanis are assuming, we could have made him sound like an injured whimpering fool asking to defect from the Kashmiri cause for a safe package or someting.
Why would we intentionally make him sound heroic?

I think the problem is that developing countries are being forced into industrialization to keep up with the shifting balance of the west.
It is a dirty tactic for e.g. the developed countries do not need industrialization and can outsource this to nations like India and Brazil yet they impose climate change driven policies to counter their growth. Meanwhile Brazil and India have to continue keep lowering the manufacturing costs so as not to outbid by other countries. vicious cycle.

Once you take out the farmers which have been the backbone of such countries economy and social fabric you put them in immediate disarray with little counter measures which ofcourse are ofcourse too complicated or expensive.

As far as the video is concerned. It is i think a policy now for India to somehow present Kashmir as the hotbed for Islamic terrorism which is all to inviting for Uncle Sam since it is just a stone throws away from China. Kashmir should have remained bilateral given the hawks and scavengers in the region who would just nest here for the foreseeable future.
