Some Pakistanis have become tolerant but many are still stuck with the old mentality. Look no further than the comments on the pages of the actresses. Poor girls get abuse thrown at them for just showing a tiny bit of skin and surprisingly the abuse comes from men and women

Non religeous are a tiny fraction of Pakistan most on the internet are just mqm fundos who want ways to criticize Pakistan,s policies

If PAKISTANIS want to adopt secularism then why separately. Why we were in the dark since last 69 years. Either merge with India 'the champions of secularism'; or make a confideration as our system seems to be inept or sick and our leadership only interested in privatisation of sick units.
By the way Indians relaxed their tough immigration laws for ex Pakistanis and those who interested could benefit from them.

Those who think otherswise should start the movement of Islamic Republic of Pakistan anew.

Maybe it is time to abandon our status as the "Islamic" "Republic" of Pakistan, and return to our secular roots which were planned by the fathers of the nation. Not a literal name change, but Pakistani people need to abandon the "Islamic Republic" ideology. Pakistan was created because Jinnah and co were afraid that in a Hindu dominated Country, there would always be episodes of violence and disagreement between the two chief religions, as Muslims of India had grown to become an almost different culture. Thus Pakistan was created so that the Muslims and Hindus can live in peace alone. Pakistan was created because the Muslim League felt the new "Hindus"tan would not be secular enough, not because it wouldn't be "Islamic" enough. Do we want to end up like the Middle East?

Also, it is embarrassing how many people believe in ridiculously stupid Jewish conspiracy theories, and hate Jews so much without having ever having seen one in their entire lives. Can a mature, mentally healthy human being actually believe such far fetched stories? Is this the result of one or two generations of cousin-cousin breeding? The reality is every year hundreds, if not thousands of non-Muslims are persecuted and harassed all along the country, but our sympathies are only for Palestine and non-existent dead Muslims in Burma and India. Isn't it ridiculous how people in Pakistan want women to "cover" themselves up, yet Google confirms the most number of pornographic searches are from Pakistan. Google also confirms that South Asia ranks the highest in bestiality searches.

Now people are going to be blame me for having such a negative view of my home country, but I am telling the truth, and even if the truth is not something that was told to us through biased text books. Media doesn't report such incidents because they are more focused on who Imran Khan wants to sleep with, and they don't have time for a family of murdered Ahmaids, Shias, Chrisitans, Hindus, etc. But of course it is all Mossad's, RAW's and CIA's fault, because they have so much time and resources to waste on us. (Well, RAW is an exception I guess. They all have the time in the world for their little Eastern Sibling)


P.S Removing it won't really affect the economical or the political situation. It would improve the social condition.

Why most of the posters here think that after changing from islamic republic to secular republic makes Pakistan safer from the wrath of Americans Indian Isrealis.
It is a foolish perception.
If secular state is the ultimate goal then why Pakistan created? We muslims and hindus can live peacefully in subcontinent and together a powerful country. What quaid azam and nehru did in subcontinent is very similar to what kurdish statesmen trying to do and southern sudanese did in recent years. Its not us and you who took decisions, its them who took decisions and discussion like this are just behavioral testing and psychological stages.
I myself belive that islamic republic is itself a secular republic where every non muslim rights equal to Muslims so why changing of names can help us or even Islam.
As per your theory i suggest that if Pakistan wants to save their butts from outsiders then the best solution is to change religion and becomes atheism or christian or jews but still there is no guarantee that Pakistan can save itself from them.
Only solution to our problem is modern education technological advancements rapid industrialization double digit economy boosting defence speedy justice and learned bearucacy.

Why seperate from india?????????.......Secular or religious, simply put us Pakistanis are not indian. We are a distinct and beautiful race completely different to and seperate from the indian peoples/races. Pakistan is a homeland where we can preserve this race and preserve our unique culture and heritage. With the freedom to practice our way of life without oppression and interfere to those that are alien to us.

You have to think upon correcting the existing system by improving good governance, transparency and law.

Don't go like beggers from door to door to beg for the system which u think will work for Pakistan.

When a person dies due to voilence in secularisim, what secular does. Looking for another system? You are not having your feet on solid grounds. Rather than starting this so controversial thread first you have to study the systems under discussion and understand them.

If you are a muslim then think in the Islamic system to implement it in soul and spirit, implementing it from your own soul and home.
You will feel the goodness and blessings of ALLAH SWT. Partial marriges of different system with Islam will never work.

You need to educate your people provide them best educational knowledge in accordance with modern world. You see the problem is in our hollow thinking where we belive that secularism is the best answer similar to somewhat likw we are thinking that presidential forms of government is better than parliamentary.

Pakistan's BIGGEST threats is and have always been external. Currently our enemies do not have the ability to invade and destroy Pakistan without suffering unacceptable and catastrophic consequences themselves so they have been kept at bay. We do however have to also concentrate on neutralizing internal threats and traitors within our nation.
