What's new

AAP Delhi- 55 out of 70?

YES ! Modi made the mistake of not taking on Kejri directly. There was no need for Bedi
So it wont be because that the people of Delhi figured out that modi is not going to be CM , and thing haven't changed on the ground since the last 8 months?

Difficult. Kejriwal kept pointing out that modi wasn't going to be CM because he didn't want it be a Modi vs Kejriwal fight. It was why Bedi had to be brought in. Not a mistake imo but should have been done earlier & not looked like a desperate move. BJP would likely have lost anyways, Bedi just hasn't been able to rescue it. She didn't help by talking too much.

Things have not changed on the grounds bcoz there was no state govt. Not that things things were any better before that. If you think giving free stuff will change things , be my guest.

So, do you get desolutioned by 'beti bachao, bahu lao' propaganda? :D

It doesn't become propaganda just because you want it. besides it holds more merit than mindless freebee's. Surprised you are complaining about a good endeavor.

We will have to wait for some survey to come up on whether Modi's popularity has taken a huge hit but unlikely. The freshness of Modi in power has somewhat diminished but by all indications, he remains fairly popular. As you do know, the votes were more for Modi rather than any sudden love for the BJP & it's agenda. He is not on the ballot, difficult to sustain. If your know your history, Karnataka under Ramakrishna Hegde went for state polls after Rajiv Gandhi's stupendous LS win in 1984 and the tables were completely turned on the congress. That was an election almost immediately after, still in RG's honeymoon period. This behaviour is not new, what was extraordinary was the BJP winning states like Maharashtra, Haryana, Jharkand & doing well in J&K just on the basis of Modi, this election is more the norm.

Don't think Modi's popularity has diminished, it takes at least 2 years for anti incumbency to take effect and current Prime Minister to lose support, however his ability to shift his popularity to other leaders in BJP surely has taken a toll.

Don't give me that bullshit. If you didn't know, the vote share of the BJP in the last general elections was just a tad above 29%. So 2/3rd of the 'common man' in India did NOT vote for the BJP. Get that into your thick head. Hindu consolidation my a$$.

People voted BJP into power with a huge margin, if you don't like it you can keep whining about it, but reality is not going to change. THis was a Hindu consolidation of votes without a shadow doubt just suck it up and live with it. The butthurt is very evident here
