Ajeeb manhusat hai... Somebody needs to talk sense to IK. He doesn't realize that educated people of Karachi rarely do siyasat based on personalities. Even unknown names from MQM have won because of party popularity and manshoor.... Getting this snake in PTI will not make any change to PTI's Karachi chances infact it may dent them.

Aamir Liaquat Hussain formally joins Imran Khan’s PTI

KARACHI: Television anchor person Dr Aamir Liaquat Hussain has formally announced to join Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf.

Aamir Liaquat made this announcement during a press conference here on Monday. PTI Chairman Imran Khan, party leader Ismail and other PTI leaders were also present.

Speaking on the occasion, Aamir Liaquat claimed PTI will clean sweep polls in the Karachi in the upcoming general elections.

Imran Khan welcomed Aamir Liaquat Hussain in the party, saying people of Karachi should give PTI a chance to return its charm.

On the occasion, veteran film and TV artist Abid Ali also announced to join PTI.

On Sunday, party workers expressed intense disapproval regarding Aamir Liaquat’s decision of joining the party, causing pandemonium during party chief Imran Khan's address.

As a result Imran Khan was not able to make his speech during the public in Karachi.

Due to this, Imran Khan was forced to leave mid-way.

It may be noted here that law enforcement agencies launched action against MQM leader and workers following anti-state remarks by MQM founder on August 22, 2016. Dr Farooq Sattar, Aamir Liaquat Hussain and other leaders were also taken into custody by Rangers.

The very next day on August 23, Amir Liaquat Hussain announced to quit politics, saying “I am not part of MQM from today and I am leaving the party.” “I am also quitting Pakistani politics,” he had added.

“Pakistan is everything for me, whatever I am today it is all because of Pakistan,” Amir Liaquat had remarked.

I remember before 2011, everyone would criticize Imran Khan and say he has no electable. Then when PTI started getting popular, everyone criticized him from taking "lota" electable.

If this man can bring in votes that's a good thing.
The party's internal democracy can keep him and the rest of them in check.

PTI will only be destroyed if it's internal democracy is destroyed (like PPP, and PMLN).
Until then I will support PTI and enjoy the ride

My dear PTI members principals don't matter. Only votes matter and it is IK's last chance.

He shall do whatever he can to get the chair even if it means getting aamir liaquat in PTI.

He is son of Late Shiekh Liaquat Hussain , who played active role in Paksitan movement. Has good family background. He deserve a chance.

Yes his father was founding member of MQM, least say is better.

Not sure he is a good addition but if he is popular in Karachi then perhaps there is some benefit. Can't be much worse than some other candidates I guess.

I am a Karachite, and assure you he is popular only for his misdeeds, joker image and fake degrees.
