It is amply evident today that BJP's past image of saffronist extremism has not gone away. Far from it there is evidence that the Hindutva extremists are attacking people over writing books(based on Hindu texts no less) criticizing Hinduism, daily asking people of this country to go to Pakistan because they said something untasteful to them. Modi is not trying to repair this image at all, although he seems to want to remain in power. Which leads one to believe that he wants the image or is fine with the image. Otherwise which party leaders would not control their loud mouths like Sathvis and Yogis. And that is the reason why BJP and Modi are heaping ignominy.
