Aadaab to the new Christian Nation-Democratic republic of South Sudan

yes difference b/w south sudan and sudan would be that sundays would be holiday in new nation.
But south sudan is democratic republic and a non socialist country. so there will be freedom for minorities(esp arab and muslims)
the new nation is largely tribals many christian convert during colonial rule.
Without US and europe support it(independence) was impossible.
But when it comes to governance it will be run in a way that christian sensibilities are not overruled.

Don't celebrate too fast. South Sudan like other Sub-Saharan Black African Countries also suffer from tribalism. They also fight in the lines of tribes. South Sudan's tribes are arming themselves and there was already clashes b/n various Southern groups.

They have Oil..But the ground reality is that Oil companies have leased the oil field in peanuts..Plus they have also acquired huge areas for which they have paid very little.. Countryside is already very angry with the development work happening only around capital.. They have purchased a fleet of Toyota SUVs for ministers and common man is not amused..Next few years are going to be very interesting...

Even we had the same set of problems in 47, and still continue to have them but not at the same scale as in 47. Instead of tribalism we face ethnic divide, caste divide. you know better.

You always refer to India as Hindu nation but our working language is english(christian language), and only 77% of population follow hinduism.
Strike out south Indian hindus(as their culture is different) from this 77% then this figure is far less.
BTW 10% of population is christian.
Well even if they are christian or muslim state, it won't give you a damn because you pk ppl would never accept them. You discriminated bangla muslims in pre 1971 east pak, you have no moral right to speak about all muslims. If you do then hypocrite would be the right word.

In India Religion is private affair. Their are many who convert. Its just their personal wish.

It depends the way you perceive it(oil).
Also it depends on how well they utilize them(oil).

Even if they are 2.3 they get the right of 100%. They are indians above all.
our defence minister is christian and so are several chief ministers.
