this guy bought himself the aim point sight and was fitting it. it still had to be zeroed though
He scope is attached to wrong place.
exercise kiya kareen ap bhiBig man myself
Incorrect, please read my detailed reply as to why the sight is forward mounted!
You reply is good but still if you are a user of ak mechanism the forward sight is a big problem.
It is better to look at the solution of the people who use ak most.
Forward sight gives no help in aiming.
Here is what Russian special forces did with it.
Look at the sight position.

my experience with AK taught me one thing, it is a damn heavy platform so any effort to make it Tacticool will actually have an adverse effect.SSG use forward placement, as do several international special forces:
Reflex sights are CQB aids not Optics for long range shooting, as such forward placement is actually beneficial. Please watch the video I posted you will then understand the point I made.

Gas Tube / handguard mounted sights make the weapon a bit heavy on the front, if you have to mount a torch or PQ designator then that actually increases your problem.....however one advantage of having a front mounted sight is faster target accusation, you raise your weapon from high ready to shooting stance and you acquire the target fast.......hence people are actually looking at ways to reduce the weight of this damn 'Tank' , and keep the sight mounted a front.......thats where Railed Gas Tube come in, and you combine it with AImpoint T2 with low mount
I personally like this set up as this is compatible with your existing wooden or plastic furniture.......
having a dust cover or rear mounted optic helps with weight distribution and weapon feels more balanced, you have more space to add other accessories.
one way of doing this is using below options
- Zenitco B33 dust cover
this is a solid platform and as per my research it helps retain the zero even when you lift the cover for servicing .....
however it is to be noted that this cover is only compatible with Zenitco B31 Lower Handguard, which is actully expensive and adds to the weight at front.....
- TWS Dog Tail Gen 3..... this is US made dust cover with back up side, few reviews same that it does give problem with Zero retention once you remove the dust cover....it works with any handguards
- our third option is Midwest Industries Rear Microdot mount ....this is very cheap and cost effect way of mount the site however it gives issue with zero retntion once dust cover is removed.another problem is that you can only mount small optics
Note:
i am in process of making my AK a bit more practical.....i have ordered Magpul MOE handguard, Midwest Micro dot rail, US PTS palm frip and front vertical grip ......once i receive the parts from US this month i will install the stuff on gun and will share the picture.....
Showing affiliation with PA is not an issues as i was there in August with friends....problem is showing the affiliation every time i need to use the range as I personally feel a bit odd that I have to request friends again and again every 1-2 month......if they have started some new process of membership then that is a good step because i will be able to get it done without an issue .....Aye used by AWT and ASG for their training, that number can only be used by PA affiliated folk, Islamabad Police also offer their range if you are affiliated with PA or licensed security company at Rs. 10000 per half day hire, bring your own targets.
Their is also a private range near nala lai Rawalpindi, but that had some safety issues and I don't trust firing off rounds so close to residential accommodation especially if you can't control who comes and goes.
