‘A victory for peace’: China helps broker Iran-Saudi diplomatic agreement

No one expects China to give up on Taiwan, but building up a more robust (less dependent on the West) economic system while the military is being built up is what is more pragmatic.

Speaking of North Korea. Helping the North Koreans get out of sanctions and develop economically could be beneficial to them being a stronger military buffer.
The problem is NK wont listein to Chinese advice and follow Chinese model of development, they are totally in fear of US army stationed in SK and so they wont relax their country for development.

China is not in a hurry to liberate Taiwan, now it is the United States that wants to use Taiwan to play with fire.

Although North Korea is an ally of China, it is also a sovereign country. They insist on building nuclear weapons, and China cannot intervene.

Answer to If China has so much money to invest in other countries, why don't they develop the poor parts of China? by Janus Dongye Qimeng https://www.quora.com/If-China-has-...share=2b33adef&srid=ul2ehS&target_type=answer
Read the post, very enlightening. Basically, foreign countries have to compete with Chinese provinces for investment, and even then uplifting Chinese citizens is a priority over making money as state backed banks would rather support “socialism with Chinese characteristics” then purely higher profits.

While the posts shows there are still many projects left to do, particularly in less developed parts of China, there are still diminishing returns if higher profits can be earned in neighboring counties, or even counties further away, as long as there is political stability there.

Would you agree that Pakistan maybe one such country with high potential for Chinese investors but political instability is the largest part of holding it back now that the GWOT is over?

And they won’t allow Chinese troops to help protect them, so they can focus on economic development?

Does KJU fear being economically subservient to Chinese companies? A sustainable development model through joint ventures is probably the best way to not give up as much control and a realistic path forward

That’s never going to get completed
This is where a Chinese middle man would help. A Iranian pipeline to a Chinese refinery (a refinery that can process both Iranian and GCC crude as well have storage fields to buy low and sell high) in Gwadar and a Pakistani pipeline from Gwadar to Karachi.

The problems in Pakistan are very complicated, but if Pakistan wants to develop its economy, the key lies in Gwadar Port. Become a regional transportation hub. India also knows the importance of Gwadar to Pakistan. The media smeared the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor, diplomatically wooed the Taliban in Afghanistan, and supported TTP financially. Threatened by the United States, the Pakistani military was forced to choose a compromise. Currently, the political situation in Pakistan is unresolved. ik is in danger.

Pakistan has all the middle men and tools for it to make it happen. It just chooses not to perform 🤷‍♂️

Exactly, they asked Chinese troops to leave NK in 1958.

This means nothing as long as the Iranians and the Saudis continue to fund sectarian groups in Pakistan.

There is no peace for Pakistan so long as these two nations continue to exist as major powers.

I have no problem with peoples and their beliefs and their festivals. As an American, I’m sure many Muslim and Hindus growing up on this society have a live and let live attitude and generally don’t even know about most of their own religious holidays much less other people’s holidays. We are more aware of Christmas and thanksgiving, etc.

I commented on another thread that I was saddened by how some Hindus were treated in pakistan, as they tried to celebrated Holi or how Ahmedis had their temple vandalized.

Economics are in India’s favor at the moment, so I doubt this will undermine the economics of East Asian counties other than China investing in India for the time being.

You would agree Pew is a reputable survey company, would you not. Perceptions before Modi, in 2014 were average for India (terrible for Pakistan due to GWOT by and large).

The perception has only gotten worse, not better over the years.

This is just what I found after a few minutes of searching. I would be interested to see if you can find more recent surveys that refute this perception, and that Modi’s rule has improved India’s perception amongst East Asians. I would be genuinely interested to know what changed.

Also, sure racism is there in every community, but a blanket xenophobia against a group of people in a culture is built on a perception of an other’s culture or pattern of behaviors, right or wrong. The images of anarchy, and even is supposedly isolated incidents point to a breakdown of harmony.

Before you say I overlook pakistan’s faults. The survey shows how badly perceived Pakistan is; worse than India. So Pakistan had a long way to go to rehabilitate its own image. If you notice from the video, Bangladeshi nor Sri Lankans nor Nepalese were banned at those clubs.

Also, the disharmony coming out of India has had an effect on the Indian diaspora and larger South Asian diasporas amongst each other in the US. Even issues like caste discrimination are seeping into some fields in the US. Decades ago, relations between south Asians were cordial, but the large influx of recent arrivals have brought antithetical beliefs with them and made it less so.

I am replying to your post because i saw your response about Hindu people being attacked in Pakistan for playing Holi.
Here is my take here...Holi is a festival of color. But out of 150 crore people, even if 0.1% pathetic people exist, still it is a huge number...That is exactly the reason, you see many instances of racism, misbehavior, and many incidents which can not be even explained here...And yes, I agree with you, that it is not something funny for women to play Holi in a public space if the crown is not known to each other...

But does that mean, overall everyone who plays holi is on a look out to molest any Women in on street? Of course it is not true..It is not true because it does not happen in a significant proportion based on the population and the people who are involved in the festival...

Thats your job to stop it, but alas, Pakistanis are lazy and can’t think outside of the box. And what sectarian groups are you talking about? That war ended 20 years ago. It’s GHQ that funds anti Shia groups and Anti Sunni groups to keep dividing Pakistanis.

These peace initiatives are just an illusion. Iran and Saudi's rivalry is based on their belief system...It is not like something related to land or other things that can be negotiated...

If the middle east needs peace, then the people of Arabs and Iran should start respecting each other...It is really funny to see that most of Muslim nations have a habit of blaming the west for their rivalry with other Islamic nations when the real cause of the confrontation lies within their own country...

If Arabs are really serious about peace with Iran, why do they even need an outsider like US or China...Why can not they use their Islamic fora such as OIC and Aran league to start cooperation and respecting each other?

Why don’t you stfu pagan and stick to gang raping with the Call Center gang

This is the exact kind of mindset and intolerance for which you guys made entire South Asia and the middle east a war zone....I enjoy when people really get frustrated and come up with their true upbringings although everyone like you says that they are true to their beliefs and religion.
