A True Soldier!!

And what makes you think that making movie on Gods makes a group of people holier?

It is the culture which one is exposed too. Media plays a big role in molding children's mind. The movies become the talk of the household, tales are told, characters are discussed. They go a long way in forming character.

Kerala was the first soft **** hub of India and it shows. LOL.

TN on the other hand made a lot of movies on Gods all the time.
We stopped making soft .... movies in 2003...
who said that Tamil don't make it??..i used to watch a lot of Tamil soft movies in my school days...Go to KR market..there is a movie hall exclusively for B rated Tamil,Kannada movies...
reg-god movies..Kerala too produced a lot of god movies of all faith...

Hmm, May be that is what they showed on TV and later on when videos became a craze. Every other Tamil movie was about God. Do not remember seeing any Malayalam movie about God though. Maybe they were not popular.

Inspiring Read indeed.
SO true when they say great deeds will always inspire others down the ages,

If only, we had more people like him in all branches of our society.

@Indrani , please keep your religious sentiments out of this thread. This is about celebrating a straight-forward and right honorable soldier, not an exploration into hindutva world-view.

Instead of being a valuable thread on a defense forum, this thread gets derailed into right-wing political ideology and about god movies.

Please do NOT respond to this post.

Pakistan elected to have a British Chief of Staff and he was concerned about not having British officers face one another during 1948. However, I do not know if we actually had a worthy candidate at all. Old man Jinnah was stickler about merit.

In any case, cheers to Gen. Nathu Singh Rathore.

@Chak Bamu I was not talking about religious sentiments here. We were discussing the character of Nehru and @scorpionx sympathy for Nehru and his obvious failings made me ponder about why some societies are all about human failings whereas other societies are all about other aspects of human nature.

. .
Those who blame Nehru for the subsequent actions of Congress are blinded.

Nehru in himself was a good Prime Minister of India. His positive aspects became India's positive characteristics. His flaws became institutionalized as our weaknesses. Sure, he made mistakes - big ones, but he took some big good decisions as well.

One must always take a holistic picture - the bad with the good.
This statement not expected from you. I thought you would bash him.
Well, I know this incident very well before.
I am glad you have proven wrong my assessment for you.
Everyone curse Nehru but they forgot that if he wants to become a dictator then nobody can stop him.
Nobody is perfect as summarize his strength become India's strength and his weakness become India's weakness.
He is influenced India so much that we are yet not change his certain key policies.

Sir/Madam

You curse Nehru due to your personal hate.
It was Nehru who lay the foundation of democracy so a tea vendor become Prime Minister today.
Don't vent frustration of Pappu on Nehru.
We are Indians first rest are secondary. personal life does not matter to us if he outpace corrupt Angel.

really ! nehru brought democracy in India ! He was forced on Congress by out dear Mr gandhi ! if left yo democratic means he had no chance of being elected as 1st PM of india.

it was his personal life or lust which is behind the most haunting issues we are facing: kashmir, china, and socialist economy.

Sorry, it was not Nehru who lay the foundation of democracy in India. India was not Nehru's property for him to be its destiny's sole determinant. There were a galaxy of very qualified and important leaders too in Congress of that time who laid the foundation stones of this country. Nehru encouraged his sister and his daughter to be in politics and laid the foundation for dynasty politics. It was people who opposed Nehru who made it possible for a tea vendor to become the PM today.

Also why would I have personal hate of Nehru? Nehru died long before I was born. No one in my family is associated with him either for anything to be personal.

@mods does NOTHING!, Zip , nada, whatever. .. you might as well write @Vishnyu/Allah/Christ/Yahweh..whatever suits your fancy..still wont let any of the mod or admin team know anything.

Second.. The idea of appointing British heads also had to do with the British need to glean as much out of the new nations as possible. Take a look at the defence related(and other governmental) purchases made by both ex-colonial states and see how they were influenced to buy British equipment.

.
After watching all those above pics it seems like our Chacha Nehru was quite tharki in nature

No Wonder Mountbatten ran away from India in just one year as he was worried about his WIFE!!!

Politicians are normal humans, just like you and me.

Politicians CAN'T be normal humans, if they want to live NORMAL life then please feel free & don't become a POLITICIAN. An Indian PM is the FACE of INDIA & INDIANS internationally. Don't know what IMAGE our Great Chacha Nehru wanted to Portray of Indians Internationally.

@WebMaster @Aeronaut @Chak Bamu
Please close this thread,it is moving in a tangential direction.
I dont want ppl getting raucous on a thread which was dedicated to a "true soldier".

I am getting used to this trend now..... OP spoke about a soldier who made Nehru to use his brain...... But eventually the thread turned to religion, soft **** and "Kerala" and TN......
