I think I'm talking about cashless society, which is a total different idea to plastic card society.
Maybe u should help figure a way out how to pay your tips in a cashless way.
(especially how a American wife gives dollars in her bachelorette party under a male stripper's underwear).

I can literally go out without taking any cash or card here, just a smart phone(or smart watch), from transport to shopping, anything.

Cashless societies have been talked about long before cell phones came into existence. It just means not using currency. If the use is mobile, plastic, or tree leaves then so be it.

I pay tips all the time with plastic. Why should that be hard?

And you have no idea how cashless is working here.
An illegal food server on the night market can also go cashless.
They just need a smart phone, that's it.
You can also search, how Chinese go AA in a cashless way.

I never said mobile wasn't as more advanced than plastic. It certainly is. The question is whether the society as a whole is moving towards cashless.

My argument is the majority of the people over here have been living relatively cashless lives for a long time (not 100% obviously). Even in remote areas paying with cash is frowned upon as it is seen as a needless hassle to the merchant. So whether you pay with plastic or mobile it is seen as better than cash to him. That goes back to my supermarket story.

Of course as you pointed out the definition can be further expanded upon by going beyond merchants to people crossing paths on the street and exchanging money quickly without cash.
