One the one hand, I understand there are problems everywhere in the world. Nobody is an angel, so it is not beyond reason that an army man may exhibit such behavior. On the other hand, the child is smiling in the video, and it is not beyond doubt that he has been instructed to say something. Instead of throwing opinions on the internet for or against, we should ask for a thorough investigation. If the major has committed such an act, action should be taken against him. If not, then people spreading false propaganda should be taken to task.

Our armed forces represent the finest in the country, and we cannot tolerate any attempt - from within or without - to smear their reputation.
Exactly.... but our idiots have passed their judgement even before a single piece of evidence.

**Demotion are/is possible

Also a dismissal is quite possible for being unfit to be in Army. The main issue is mentally fit to make decisions.

There is no shortage of Men with proper character who want to be in Pakistan Army
Every year millions apply to be part of Pakistan Army only a very few get chosen and they
do have to have Great Moral standards

Pakistan's Military are themselves very strict on high Level of Excellence and moral standards so for Major's own sake I hope he did nothing wrong but if he did , he should confess and accept his punishment, at least that would be a sign he is not 100% unfit

How did you say it does not seem to be fake, fabricated?
Please check the above tweet, I think this Adeel guy is more reliable. Fabricated or not, lets launch an investigation and see who's the actual culprit. Punishment should be publicly served and the culprit made an example.

this thread hsould be closed as no one knows the truth and the video proves nothing but spoonfeeding by a lady to a child

I'm sorry there is no evidence here and for all we know this could be some grudge and the video of the kid shows him happy.
Anyway I'm sure the relevant authorities will check this out.
Thread closed.

Firstly tweets are not news.
If true journalists would be running on it like wild fire....so I would wait for it to be clarified first before passing judgement.

As for army punishment....Every country in the world punishes their army personnel behind closed doors why point out Pakistani army?
