Yes, the detention of these two Canadian citizens has nothing to do with the Meng case, it's a simple case of law and order, no political involvement whatsoever.

Which means the "retaliation" that China promised, is still coming.

Donald Trump has thrown Canada under the bus by claiming that the arrest of Meng is a "bargaining chip" in the trade war (making a joke of Canada's claim of no political interference), pushing Canada into the firing line, and then refusing to help Canada when the trouble lands.

Trump could have simply kept his mouth closed for a while. Looks like, the US regime cannot even play a simple game rationally, making mistakes and undermining their own conspiracy.

The whole world knows the Huawei case is politically-motivated. Then, why trust US regime's words regarding Huawei?

The US wanted to conspire with Canada against Huawei, and Canada for some ghastly reason, agreed on this.

Then, in a single statement, Trump has thrown Canada government under the bus. Now who is the bargaining chip? Who's being played on? Who is the weaker actor? Huawei or Canadian government?

If I were a Canadian, I would be very angry at the US regime. They made a joke of Canada's legal system and national sovereignty.

The fact that Trump has the power to decide whether Huawei CFO guilty or not "depending on how trade negotiations go" is a huge slap on the face of Canada's national sovereignty and dignity.

While Huawei is developing in-screen fingerprint readers, Apple is telling their customers that they don't even need a basic fingerprint scanner to begin with. Maybe soon they will be selling iPhones without even putting the iPhone in the box.
