A PREGNANT WOMAN FALLS YET ANOTHER VICTIM TO MEDICAL NEGLIGENCE IN PAKISTAN

For those who are asking for other side of story....Can I honestly ask you if it was your mother, your sister, your cousin....ANYONE related to YOU...would you ask other side? Just be honest...

Other side of story I tell you!
My brothers wife has just been save with the same attitude from a doctor of "Agha Khan Hospital" who want to do a cesarean at a normal case but a Dr. In my family refer her to Saife Hospital where another Dr said why to cesarean ?? And in an earlier case the same Agha Khan Dr did absolutely the same with my Bhabi and keep her in pain for hours and came late in morning and then she did delivery

2ndly, Lets say she was busy elsewhere, where was backup staff? Was there only 1 doctor in a whole bloody hospital who is capable of C-section?

She was not busy any where or if she was then why to keep the patient on hold for 10 hours! Let me enlighten you for MONEY!

3rdly, why the hell was she putting an already dead person in ICU and telling the husband lies that she will be fine after 1 day in ICU?

Mean while the bitch could make out something that's why.

None of the above 2 is forgivable...Lets say she wasnt dead even then knowing the situation in no ways is it COMPULSORY for the doctor to lie in fact they have to be honest at ALL times as it is the RIGHT of the family to know the situation...

I wish she and her associates must be trailed for first degree murder

Doctor should be stopped from practicing and enquiry shud be done by pakistan medical and dental council...which if found negligent shud impose lofe time ban and refer the matter to police....

Agar kisi main akal ho to what is written above can be made into a law

There are already laws on the books to deal with such situations. Implementation is the key.

the Sindh governemnt is so incompetent, they haven't taken any action against her and the hospital, if of had happen in Punjab then at least ShowbaZ SHarif would have taken notice and the Dr would locked up right now

There is no well defined law separating civil from criminal negligence...
Law like US does not exist as per which you can sue a doctor for his mistakes

Medical malpractice claims go before PMDC first. Death of a patient falls under criminal law already.

And what powers do pmdc have to compensate the victim??

If medical malpractice is proven, the doctor loses his/her license and the case moves to the legal system for further consideration.

And has this ever happened?? During whole history of pakistan has any patient ever has been compensated??

Till u make a system that tells doctors there will be severe financial consequences if they do not try their best with every oatient they see; such incidences will continue to happen

Well this should be norm rather than exception...
I wont advocate US system where whole system is paralysed now by law suits but negligence shud have consequences...

Also compensation must be paid to patients and family...which actually is inline with islamic law of diyyat...as doctors negligence caused harm to patient although doctor had no intention to do so...
Doctors should all have malpractice insurance which is norm in world now

How can this be the norm where the families are willing to beat up staff and destroy the hospital first, and then conduct a one-sided trial by media second?

This i cannot argue against...
Staying with US if you attack hospital staff ; its extremely likely that you will be shot in the head by the responding police ( especially if you also happen to be coloured)

What has the OP got to with USA? There is no reason to be "staying with USA" for comparisons, is there?

Would I not be biased if it was my. Mother or daughter? I would not hear or believe there is another side of the story. There would be only my version. Should justice be served only believing my side of the story?
