What's new

A new realism - A must read for Pakistanis

This could 've happened to us also if we were not a secular country.
And here is the crux of our contention ..... Now here me out : -
There seem to be a thing going on that all religions are the same and all people are the same blah blah.... it is juvenile to say so.
No hon ... India would have been better had it had a dharmic nature vis -a -vis Nepal of yesteryears.
India is inherently better because wast majority of its people are liberal , open minded and forward looking and that is not because the "constitution" is secular but because the people are ..... don't confuse cause and effect.India is successful because of Hinduism and Hinduism alone. Not because a dictator pushed these words in the constitution in the times of emergency.

The places of the subcontinent where Hinduism has been wiped out are hell holes in spite of having same culture, language, food etc. look at Pak & BD.
Hell in India only 2 power surplus states are 90+% hindu ( MP & Guj)
Anyway to sum it up India is successful because of Hinduism and in spite of secularism.

And those decisions were made by them themselves. .... in an aura of superiority and condescension I might add. 1 muslim = 10 hindus etc.

.
Phew getting way off topic people.

Pakistan is a failed state and imploding and isolated..

The question is how do we reverse the decline

.
Do I look like depressed to you? :p:

We have probably thousands of unsung heroes, but making a celebrity of a spy and making it that public is beyond me by the way.
Probably something to do with our way of worship...I don't know. If we can inspire more baby Dovals - why not? :D

Now thats called pulling a blanket statement.
I will not call 'em an uncivilised nation. They 're in a quagmire because of their leadership and armed forces. Few wrongs decisions have got 'em to the brink of a war within itself.
This could 've happened to us also if we were not a secular country.
Absolutely not.

Being an Islamic nation is NOT the reason why they are in deep...
Losing control over the 'Islamist groups' led to this situation. They were an Islamic country in practise from inception. They got bit only around the last couple of decades. The reason was simply the mushrooming of Jehadi groups that refused to bow down to central Government authority. The same would have happened to India if Mukti Bahini had been allowed a completely free rein. I know that is not the best equivalence, but it comes close to explaining a similar analogy.

Had Pakistan been a secular state, it simply would have ceased to exist. Secularism has nothing to do with a state's success or failure. There are many secular failed states and religious yet developed nations.

Thats the reason I said that a weak leadership landed 'em in a quagmire.

They say "there's no formula to success" and it applies here too.
