I couldn't find the entire press conference in English. Featured topics are:
- Tripartite mechanism is starting between Turkey - Serbia - Bosnia and Herzegovina . The first summit will lay thegroundbreaking ceremony of the bridge that will link Bosnia & Herzegovina and Serbia.
- The process of negotiation on Kosovo continues and there are some disagreements between sides. However, if an agreement between Kosovo and Serbia, Turkey will support this agreement.
- Turkey, Serbia, Bosnia and Herzegovina and Russia building a powerful mechanism to keep the peace in the Balkans.
- The 140th anniversary of relations will be an important milestone for Turkish Serb friendship.
- 9 agreements were signed between the countries in the fields of Industry, Military, Education, Science and Technology. In this way, Turkish-Serbian relations will develop much faster both in the academic environment and industrial level.
- The activities of Turkish businessmen in Serbia will be supported. Turkish businessmen will open 6 factories with a total investment value of $ 200 million to operate in the automotive, rubber and textile sectors, in this visit.
- Serbia's transportation infrastructure will be substantially renewed in cooperation with Turkish companies.
- Turkey and Serbia will work on joint defense projects. Relations between the Serbian defense industry and the Turkish defense industry will be improved.
- Joint archive works will be done. 127,000 square meters of Ottoman Istanbul archives will be opened to Serbian academics.
- TIKA's activities to promote common culture and civilization will continue increasingly. especially Novi Pazar's cultural heritage will be raised. Ram Castle, one of Serbia's important historical heritage sites, will be restored by TIKA.
Such titles can be highlighted. But at the end of the press conference there was a very emotional confession from Mr. Jovic.
'Who will give bread to our people in Malizbornik or other poor towns? Nobody looked at us when we went to Europe. Which western company can you bring? You think that's easy? Who else came than the Turks? Can't we think differently, yes, we can have different ideas. We are aware of how attentive the Turkish leaders when talking to us. And we are trying to show this mutual respect and sincerity.'
I think this part was very important for us to understand our Serbian friends. It will ensure the development of Turkish empathy, regarding the difficulties they face. There were times in the past between the Serbs and the Turks that we would not want to remember. But in a greater part of our history, we were two civilizations that respected and valued one another. I hope that Serbia will come back to the point it deserves in the future and it will be gratifying for the us , if we walk with them.
