A lasting solution for Balochistan

Hmm to think Balochistan makes up 45% of Pakistan land, is good to hear.

Also this is the similar land, USA are fighting against the talibans and not winning, so what makes Pakistan think they can defeat them on this land?

It also makes up about 5-6 million of the total 180 million population. So it's not really that grave a problem at all once you start thinking about it.

The current situation in Baluchistan requires a strong security blanket, how is this going to be possible if there is no Army or FC none whatsoever?
When we the citizens of Pakistan pass through pickets and security points throughout our cities/roads, how is removing such structure in Baluchistan going to improve the security situation?
Military roll back is one thing but if both Military and FC are absent, what shall be the consequences?

The posted article contradicts itself when on one hand it demands demilitarization of the province and on the other it declares the Army exodus as part of deliberate attempt to worsen the situation!
How is pulling out the Army going to block a political solution when this has been demand of political parties including the government?

Exactly what i was thinking. I know that people have complaints against FC. Their representatives were saying the same on TV but if we pull out FC as well then who will ensure security specially when separatists are so active. How will they ensure law and order?

Its kind of similar to Kashmir really. Except you have 5-6 million valley Kashmiris in 1.2 Billion Indian population. An even smaller percentage when it comes to land

We just need to make sure we don't commit human rights violations there as it will bite us in the *ss, like its biting Sri Lanka right now. We don't want to even give the separatists an excuse that violations are being committed, & I don't think the situation in Balochistan is even as bad as people make it out to be. Low population, little support for the Baloch Nationalists, the people crying the loudest are the pro-Bugti loyalists. I see Balochistan as a power struggle between the Marri, Bugti & other tribes. Also, people should not forget that there are almost an equal number of Pashtuns in Balochistan as there are Balochis, & none of the Pashtuns support the separatist movements.

Not really. In Kashmir, you have a smaller land & area, yet the problem is more severe there which is why you have deployed about 700,000 troops in the valley area; which includes security forces in Srinagar & other areas close to the border as well. There can be instigation from Pakistan as well. There are currently no troops in Balochistan. Also, out of the 5-6 million population of Balochistan, almost half of them are Pashtuns that have fiercely loyalties towards Pakistan & hate the Baloch separatists. Quetta, the capital of Balochistan is a Pashtun town, not a Baloch one. Secondly, even out of the remaining 2-3 million Baloch people, many do not support the Bugti tribe that cries out "Baloch Nationalism". There are many Balochs that support the competing Marri tribe that is pro-Pakistan. In fact, the Baloch people from the Marri tribe are living peacefully in south Punjab, Sindh & other parts of Pakistan with no problem. They are perfectly integrated in Pakistani society. I see Balochistan as a power struggle between various competing tribes, & it is mostly only the Bugti tribe that demands 'Baloch Nationalism'.

give baluch people their rights fair share of their resources .. army should check on fc as what they have been upto court martial those involved in killings of baluch STOP medling in civil affairs and intervening in politics let the parliamentarians deal with it

Well actually your description makes it even more similar.
Half of the population in J&K in pro Indian mainly in Jammu and Ladakh. The Gujjar and Bakerwall tribes are pro-Indian as well. Agreed that J&K percentage of landmass is smaller than Balochistan land mass in Pakistan but that is what makes the issue less severe. Similarly the population percentage affected is smaller for India as well. 5million/1.2 billion as compared to 5 million/180 million in Pakistan.
And while J&K has suffered from one insurgency mainly backed by Pakistan since 1990. Balochistan has sufferred from five insurgencies in the same period.

The issue is about Baloch sub-nationalism or Kashmiri sub-nationalism. And the best way to solve it is to give cultural autonomy within the ambit of the union. Ofcourse foreign interference will play a role in causing problems but barring that, this would be the best way to resolve issues.

Well actually your description makes it even more similar. Half of the population in J&K in pro Indian mainly in Jammu and Ladakh.

These are the figures I got from wikipedia about Indian administered Kashmir:

Division Population % Muslim % Hindu % Sikh % Buddhist/Other
Kashmir (53.9%) 5,476,970 97.16% 1.84% 0.88% 0.11%
Jammu (43.7%) 4,430,191 30.69% 65.23% 3.57% 0.51%
Ladakh (2.3%) 236,539 47.40% 6.22% – 45.87%
Jammu & Kashmir (Total) 10,143,700 66.97% 29.63% 2.03% 1.36%

The total population of J&K is at least 10 million. And I stand corrected, the population of Balochistan is almost 8 million, half of which are Pashtun, the other half Balochis. Anyways, there are 67% Muslims in J&K, & about 30% Hindus. I don't know how you can even say that half of the Kashmiris are pro-Indian. Do you have any kind of statistics to prove this? Also remember that about 54% of the total land area is Kashmir which is rife with separatist movements. I agree with you, Ladakh has no separatist movements. Let's say that about 5-10% of the 43.7% in Jammu are not pro-Indian. That would still make the people that support separation about 60-65%, 3/5ths of the total J&K supports separation, not 50-50.

The fact that you have 700,000 troops stationed in the Valley & Pakistan has none shows it's not less severe for you.

And while J&K has suffered from one insurgency mainly backed by Pakistan since 1990. Balochistan has sufferred from five insurgencies in the same period.

There have never been insurgencies inside Balochistan even close to the level of what is seen in J&K. The whole world talks about Kashmir, but hardly anyone even talks about Balochistan on the international arena. Another big reason for that is that J&K is considered as disputed territory, not India's; whereas Balochistan is accepted by the UN & the rest of the world as Pakistan's territory. This is another reason why the separatist movements in Balochistan are not even close to what they are in J&K.

Most Kashmiris say they want freedom from India. Polling since 1995 has found at least two-thirds of those living in the Kashmir valley want independence. Some older Kashmiris still talk of joining Pakistan, but two-thirds of Kashmiris under age 30 mostly want independence.

THE BEST SOLUTION:

1- To deport 55% population of Balochis to PK, Punjab & Sindh in scattered groups along with full facilities like house+. And Move Punjabis, Pathans and Sindhis in their place in Baluchistan. Stalin did the same in Past USSR and Problem was over.

2- To deport all MQM members [Now Proved MQM as INDIAN Terrorists Org] to India or to the bed of Sea.
