I met this student Indian girl a few days ago, who is supposed to belong to a higher caste (Thakur), at the university I work. I don’t even know where to begin folks. All I asked is how do you find it here in The Netherlands and she bloody imploded. She did not even miss her parents. I just couldn’t believe the tales she was telling. Modi is absolutely despised by educated Indians. They hate the government for wrecking peace and increasing animosity among Hindus and other minority groups.

It is absolutely true what we think and hear in the media. Caste discrimination, religious hatred, mass rape etc. It is all happening in India and it is happening on steroids.

Your story sound like a fantasy, you got assaulted in Public, by a bunch of well dressed rich guys out of nowhere and people were watching you getting beaten up. There's no news on such an incident, you choose not to report it to the police. So he has made up this story here (and all the generic stuff towards indians and immigrants more broadly) to feel better about all of that....when he's in between showing unfortunate sheep his love.

You can see that he claims to have filed a report but wont give any more details on it....because that will open up a chain of verification and exposure on him (we have a member that can look it up for us as you know)....that will show he is lying as usual.

Well your partner did the right thing to hold you back. You don't want be baited like this. Mobs(especially Indian mobs) are really hard to handle, on one instant nothing is happening the next second you are getting lynched. Cow lynchings are exactly like this, I even read some where that in India they mob-lynched a poor dalit mistaking him for being a muslim.

Any-ways should have just visited Pakistan instead. From north to south you would have experienced lot of cultures, though would have been an expensive tour. Visiting only one city is really boring.

Well maybe he misconstrued his opinions regarding muslims after his tour of India. To him Pakistani Muslims might be same as Indian or Bangladeshi muslims. It's a generalization that foreigners often make, so wouldn't really hold it up against him. Just hope that his interactions on this forum and irl would change his opinions regarding muslims in future. Not going to defend him or anything but I am quoting his statement.

Poor infrastructure, filth everywhere, lack of sanitation, slums (I have never been to Pakistan or Bangladesh so not sure if this is true).

I mean he literally highlighted that part, it's just an assumption. Also there is some truth to his assumption as well. I mean a-lot of people go to western countries for better future/lifestyle. He just piled up a lot of issues in one single thread/statement, its not as simple as why do people from south-asian countries want to move to west. For Pakistan, the issue is even more complex, we didn't have a good functioning democracy, the only democracy we saw was of thieves and looters. On top of that, lower funds allocation during independence, continuous wars with countries bigger than us, martial law's, so all of these things pile up and have its effect on population of the country.

But even with that I can assure him about sanitation in Pakistan. It's very rare people peeing or pooping on streets in Pakistan. It's seen as bad manners, and even if they have to relive themselves and there is WC nearby, they do it on nali/nala. Garbage on the other hand is a separate issue, some cities have proper waste management while others don't. Current gov, seems to be trying it's best to cope with the issue. Hope everything works out.

I saw a couple videos of a chinese guy swindling Pakistani people for mobiles in Pakistan. I read some where that chinese hackers looted an ATM in Pakistan. I mean it would be wrong of me to make an assumption that all Chinese are thieves and swindlers. For the first time, a post from you that I can agree with. It's not just educated Indians, in the sense of the middle class; it's Indians from all walks of life. We can see what he and his scum have opened up with their tacit encouragement.
