Its not a question of right or wrong. The interview panel must make sure they are interviewing the right candidate so verification is needed. Interview panel will also look at body language (may not be necessary here) and eye contact made. If ppl are not making eye contact it is usually assumed they are lying or not confident.

In india there is already a scam where ppl impersonate for others in entrance test. Same thing can also happen here too.

Could ve used a female to verify.
In Pakistan face veil is a norm.
And women uncomfortable to unveil is also a norm.
The panel must have kept this in mind as hundreds of other universities do for face veilers.

Well, at-least I do not hire anybody covering their face because putting oneself into a sac from head-to-toe is not safe when working in a virology lab.

At any rate, I am with management on this. This lady should opt for all girls college. In-fact Jamia Hafsa is located in Islamabad. It would perhaps be better for her to join it. That way she will not have to leave her home town too.

i dont know which Islam you follow, but if everyone would be judged by that, then 85% of Muslim women are kafirs and will go to hell for not wearing veil, while 90% of Muslim men are kafirs and will go to hell for not having beard, while the True Momins blowing themsleves up wil be entering Jannah, and getting hoors with transparent skin.

how about giving the benefit of doubt to University, maybe she wasnt qualified in the interview. If they conduct an interview it is for some reason and its part of the qualification process.
