And my question remains, do you think if your military does not use gunship against the local population, it means it can not terrorize them with other 100s of different ways?
What kind of gunships do you need to torture, kill those who are demonstrating against Indian oppression?
Lets get back to basics again, its no more 1980 or 90's when terrorist activities where very heavy and armed forces had to be very active and harsh, which at times did made locals vulnerable. Coming to 2015, every nook and corner guy has camera phone and internet on it. You sneeze here, and before you can take out your handkerchief, you would have got a whatsapp message of bless you. Thats how fast and open the communication has become. No govt can hide its armed forces mischief when public becomes the first source of information to mass. Thats the reason when someone raises the islamic flag in kashmir the next moment its all over internet and news.
When ever security is biggest concern, the common man has compromise in his freedom. Late 80's and 90's was dark era and entire nation feels pain of people of Kashmir has to face during those hard days. But those hard days brought peaceful and safe future and thats why terrorism was thrown out of valley.
With neighbor like Pakistan whose engagement terms follow no rules, it becomes very hard for nation to safeguard all the interests of Kashmiris. We are trying our best to keep them happy and safe and we will keep improving on that.
Finally you have to visit Kashmir valley on foot or a bike, move around and see how armed forces work hand to hand with locals in there daily life. From setting up water channels for agricultural lands to providing medical services, from educating childrens in army schools to proving technical education to younger generation to make self sufficient.
Unfortunately what you are trying to see, is the only things that sooth's your thought processing mechanism and filtering out all the other things. And thats why your selective version holds no grounds in front of other members here who have some idea about whats Kashmir valley is all about in current era.
