To be honest these are no real threat to us. Apart from a good radar, it doznt pose any challenge. Good targets for manpads.

They can have the best hardware but it takes years to develop strategy and tactics. In this case their operating model became victim of inter services rivalry. It will be years before they become effective. On the other hand Pakistan has developed very effective gunship tactics both for conventional and non-conventional warfare over the last 30 years. One way or another Pakistan will get new gunship soon American, Turkish or Chinese.

That's what I have been wondering as well. Regardless of how well you plan inter-service coordination through tech, process and training, it will always be between two services and hence sub-optimally managed, when you compare it to the scenario where the actual beneficiaries of helos being deployed (the army) control the assets completely.
One of the reasons why the western forces are super combat effective is that their structures allow for a great degree of improvisation at the ground level, a company CO can plan and execute based on his understanding of the situation. Our rigid structures always make it difficult to take the initiative (wait for further instructions while the armchair generals evaluate the situation), especially since no plans ever get executed seamlessly in battle.
