A Book By Raymond Davis

and more scaring that if he is been followed by 2 ISI Agents and later turned to shoot them, that somehow means someone leak this information to him , that he is been tailed so he used his weapon .. most likely someone from Inside Provide him with Pictures , he won't just randomly pick two people two kill from road
An expert will know he is being tailed. What if u go around few places and notice a bic with 2 guys following u, cany be a coincidence. What i guess is that he noticed he is being followed and out of fear not knowing whether they are isi or guys from militant org wanting to abduct him, he took action and shot them.

Truth is relative
More accurately, the truths people are willing to tell are often subjective. That's why police usually prefer forensic evidence to eyewitnesses.

It's not easy to believe that Davis simply decided to shoot two Pakistanis through the windshield of his own car. (Why not roll down the window first?) What Davis describes is having a motorcycle pull in front of him and the guy in back pull a gun, rack it, and point it directly at Davis' face. In America such an action is a felony, aggravated assault at the very least. Ever see a Wild West movie? The fact that the other guy drew first is a complete defense. @TaimiKhan

If they had wanted to kill him they could do easily by pulling from the side and not pulling infront. As davis the killer said two bullets each hit legs, thigh i believe of one guy, which i hard to see happen especially if he was infront of car his lower body would be hidden by bonnet of the vehicle. And we all in Pakistan know that americans travelling in their vehicles carry arms.

most likely is what happened as you describe .. but the identity of the two people were shady, and than news of them accepting blood money and even Green cards ? as far as i heard in news mostly Diplomatic people as DAvis claimed never really travel alone, they have some people with them full armed to the teeth .. one can wonder why he was alone and where was he coming from ?

He was American that is why his life was spared, in our Wild west, people would have lynched that man alive if he shot two people on road ..

LOL Raymond does not realize that it is not his release/"heroics" that matter so much. His bragging means zilch. In hindsight, it is the aftermath and the addition of yet another American blunder on Pak soil that mattered most. Today, Pakistan US relations are at their worst and Raymond has definitely contributed to that. He deserves a medal for that. I would go as far as claiming that Pak China relations wouldn't be where they are today without Raymond's contribution. All these events have eventually pushed a pro US country like Pakistan to opt for an alternative course. Pakistan was firmly in the grip of the Americans, but we can safely assume that is not so much today. You just have to guage American animosity towards Pakistan China relationship. It speaks volume. Raymond's bragging is just another indication of sour grapes from across the Atlantic.

It is simple. The Americans pressured relentlessly after the murder. Pakistan had no choice, but to release the murderer because the Americans would go to extreme lengths to have their guy released. Of course the guy was a hardcore CIA operative. We knew that all along.

Pakistan played along and I wouldn't be surprised that we ended up paying the blood money to have this guy released. Sometimes you have to swallow a bitter pill. Raymond had become a severe liability for Pakistan. Releasing him was the best option at the time. Of course, we also had a very pro US regime in Pakistan at the time. After all, who needs enemies with people like Hussain Haqqani in the corridors of power? Also, after Raymond's detention we were desperately looking for ways to get rid of the devil in a face saving manner. It wasn't easy because no matter how dearly the Zardari regime wanted to release him, it was dealing with pressure at home. How could the government let a guy walk away who cold-bloodedly killed two people in broad daylight? In the end, it helped the American cause and they found a way to shift the blame on the relatives who accepted blood money.

However, if we look at the bigger picture the Raymond Davis saga was a truly blessing in disguise. Raymond's actions have undoubtedly contributed to the distancing and discontent between Pakistan and the US. Something many Pakistanis have yearned for years. At one point, this was a distant dream with our military and civilian leaders in total control of the Americans. We can only count this and other US actions in Pakistan as a mighty blessing.

Then shame on Zardari and co, but in all honesty did anyone expect anything from a clown like Zardari
Sawaal jango yeh hai kai,in halat mai India ya Afghanistan janey kai liye kitney jasoos razi hoan gai,ya sarhad par khoon kin de ga.
Yeh 1900 nahi hai,har banda socj ta hai.

Even if they were isi guys, they were tailing him for obvious reasons. But that davis did killed them in cold blood as there was no attack on him. He is just trying to make a justification for his killing.
His cover was blown,He actually thought he could shoot them and get away with it. The citizens of Pakistan surrounded his car he couldn't escape but he did manage to bribe the police there. Last I heard from him was when he assaulted some old man over a Parking dispute and went to prison.

Yeah, the guy is a nobody in the US. However his calculation about walking away unharmed were quite right at the time. Be it with a lot of political and diplomatic damage. Probably trying to earn a few bucks by releasing the book, but I wouldn't be surprised if other higher ups in the US floated this idea. The problem with America is that it believes that such douchebag tactics will earn them points. Bullying and blackmail tactics don't work anymore. All it does is create more resentment and I'm perfectly fine with it. It serves our purpose perfectly. It always has and the end result speaks for itself.
